Under the Start->Settings->System tab, there is an option for Windows Update. I have never been able to update it. Every time I click on it, I get an error saying "Connection to update server not avialable. Check your data connection and device time and date settings". Is there anyone who has successfully updated it? What could have gone wrong in the system?

By the way, Xperia is also made by HTC. However it's being branded and marketed as Sony Ericsson's product.

Of course, LIKE OTHER Windows Mobile device, it needs some tweaking, modding, upgrade here and there. The best resource so far is this forum:

The possibility is almost limitless as to what you can do with the device. In short, the device is not for lazy people.

MARY EDWARD, 10 Dec 2009I got a very bad experience with the Touch Diamond after 1 ... moremy sister had another problem similar to that, her knee hit the screen and it broke, so i went to a place in jordan it costs 50JDs to fix the screen like 80 us dollars and after a month or so the screen stopped working.

After the guaranty periode was over the earphone stop working, I had to use the phone loadspeaker to listen conversation,....touchscreen does'nt work properly, low capacity battery,... never ever I'm going to buy HTC products again.

I got a very bad experience with the Touch Diamond after 1 year of using it and it has been completed with the very bad treatment from the maintenence in Egypt. the mother board needed to be changed and i do believe that this action should be done from the 1st month of buying it as there was an error in the USB connector and they changed the usb and now they are telling me that i have to pay half of the device's price to change the mother board because of the miss use, as they suggest may be the device fell down or got a high electricity which is somnething out of anyone's control. i'm very upset and i would advice everyone in egypt not to buy HTC brand.

Mahan, 28 Aug 2009i'm planning to buy this phone? do u suggest it? how is it ... moreYes i suggest it. This phone was used A LOT by me. together i made 74 hours of talking (includin incoming, and outgoing) I droped it many times... survived...
These days i charge it ever 4 days, and original batteries on ebay are only 6 euro. :)
It's fast, when you turn off the beam and other stuff.
As well as what this phone can do, its absolutely great! It does everything! I wouldnt suggest the iphone 3G, because my father has it and he is not happy with it. And he has it only for few months. The battery doesnt last too long... it has a VERY BAD COVERAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely shi* !!
And the software freezes sometimes...
Overall I would suggest the HTC diamond, because I have a very good experience of it.
