I just bought the HTC Touch Diamond but i just wondering whether it is normal after using it for a while about 30 minutes to 1 hour we can feel the heat of the phone especially at back of the phone even though we're not using it for voice call. My question is... is that NORMAL or something wrong with the phone??? Normally we can feel that kind of heat of any kind of phone in the market when we have lenghty conversation (say about 20 - 30 minutes voice call). Pls advise.

xavy, 13 Sep 2009where the hll can i download new rom for this phone? on off... morecontact htc support, e-mail them they will send you the link where u can directly download the update for the rom. i had asked them for my asia updated rom n they sent me n it downloaded like a charm n worked smoothly....

guys m usin the phone more than a year now, its awesum wid rare issues..
just its sound quality is not good. i dont really understand why htc did that with such a nice life partner! If u ask me y its nice?. its cause of many things like the scroll wheel its wicked! whn u use it while zoomin, or even like we can zoom in n out frm screen by circlin fingers round round... even omnia hd fails against it.. n so many other features u all must b aware about.. i was thinking to buy omnia hd by selling this, but i still get alot confused cause this phone also has what omnia hd brings(like imprtnt widgetsor softwares).. so y to sell it>?!
But its sound quality is realy not bearable if compared with stereo speakers that r coming nowadays wid even cheap phones like in sony,etc.....
i dunno if there's any way its speakers can be replaced with better speakers from its service centre?! on everything else i love this phone its a masterpiece~!

shaan, 07 Sep 2009pls help me as i'm really really confuse as i've to buy a w... moreI would suggest you go for the HTC Touch Diamond 2 or if your budget permits the Magic and Hero also are a good choice but if you ask me between the Touch Diamond & TD2 i would suggest go for TD 2 its improved version of the HTC Touch Diamond.......

i send number of smses daily.i wanna knw if htc diamond has an input type(obviously virtual) same as that of a simple phone like nokia n70.I mean to say i dont wanna use the typical qwerty(virtual) keyboard for typing smses.

bad ... moreI have been using the phone for more than a year now and I have no problem with the touch what you need to do is get ur ROM updated which is easily available on the website it will give u all the below
1. Improved TouchFLO 3D tab switching and movement speed.
2. Improved home page loading speed.
3. Turned off the 5-second auto screen off function when screen is turned back on by pressing power key during a voice call. Screen off timeout will follow system power setting.
4. Added random access bar to the right hand edge of the screen for selection of weather countries and cities.
Yes agreed there are better phones in the market but this truly an excellent phone which gives value for money.......(Only thing i would count against the phone is its loudspeaker volume and quality rest is excellent)

hi all. been using touch diamond for 2 months now.
bad touch sensitivity; lag in response to flicking and swiping motions.
wifi decent quality. picked up even weak signals.
call quality very good.
supplied earphones average quality.
so , dont buy this fon cuz there are better options out now
