Hi,
can someone please help me as I'm going nuts !!!! The caller ID on incoming calls on my phone repeatedly shows "private" even though the caller ID from the person calling me is not hidden / blocked.....
This does not seem to be a network problem as I changed sim cards and still can't get my phone to show who's calling me.....
PLEASE HELP !!!!

i'm thinking of purchasing this phone next week but i would just like to kno,1) can i have my own picture used as the background pic and my own mp3 ringtone? 2) what is meant by a threaded view of text msgs? 3) how is the texting on this phone? i may be texting a lot so is it really slow or at least a genuine pace? im new to windows mobile so sorry if the questions are some what ridicilous.

There seems to be lot of contradicting information about the use of Skype on HTC diamond. It is not clear which versioon of Skype is compatible with diamond. Can someone who has used it on his model send the link to the right version of Skype for downloading?

and follow the steps mentioned there should solve ur problem for the volume.......please ensure u copy ur original file before u replace it with the newer one....

Hello Xfactor!how are u?I want to ask u only if how can i replace Audio Para3.csv as u mentioned and were can i bought it?I have my diamond also and ur right sounds is not too loud but over all its a great phone.I work in doha but i dont know if there is audio para3 here.Thankz a lot and have a good day.

Probably one of the worst phones I have had. It does look lovely & some nice features. But it is slow, it has trouble doing most things, doesn't pick up your touch all the time. Freezes alot, no flash on camer. Overall just very dissappointed in what i thought was going to be a very good phone

I attempted to update my ROM on HTC website but it isnt accepting the serial number. It says it should begin with SN or Z however my battery doesnt have any alphabet at the beginning. any idea how to go about it?

HTC Touch Diamond a piece of art which sometimes surprises you with its features and sometimes drives you crazy....I own a HTC touch Diamond for 9 months now being a Pro user I find it a balance UI phone...yet there more to discover in this phone the more you use it...Its Sluggish when u start with it but with a ROM update (which is available on the HTC Website) it runs absolutely fine and after replacing of AudioPara3.csv it sounds loud too....So I as a user am very Happy and feel HTC has brought in a revloution in the Windows Phones available in the market today....If you are a beginner its a gr8 phone if u a prominent user like me u will have tough time digesting the fact the phone UI could be better....My Score for this Phone would be an overall 8.5/10 out which the design scores a awesome 10/10 its just the UI that drags the score low....and yes there is no Sec VGA Camera in the Indian version......

Jean, 01 May 2009i also received a touch diamond and i noticed my phone also... moreJean, I called up HTC support centre in Delhi and I was informed that the models released in India do not have secondary VGA camera primarily because we are not yet equipped to have video calling. Although I'm convinced with the reasoning, what I do not understand is why this information was not shared earlier on any post. Even if you search on google, there is no reference to any phone withough sec vga camera. I would like to confirm this with other users.

If you are thinking about this phone STOP. I have just thrown mine into the floor and split it into about seven pieces cause it's a piece of crap. Turns itself off during calls and then takes about 5 mins to reboot. Looks great though and it's userabilty is nice, but built crap. You'll be disappointed.

Battery drains mostly when turned off and on, which means i have to have it on all the time on sleep if not in ue. Overall its great, they could of done at least a 5 megapixel camera.

Have this phone for about 8 months now and its fabulous. The only flaw I find is the poor battery life, however it is possible to get a bigger extended battery. But the standard features are very simple to use and the display is truly stunning. The Camera is surprisngly good for 3.2MP. The phone works with even better fluidity since I updated the ROM. If anyone has the phone, I'd advise updating the ROM. its available from the HTC website. It makes a huge difference and adds a few new features. Anyway I could keep going on for years but to sum it up, this is a brilliant phone!

I bought htc diamond in india (mumbai). The model does not have secondary vga camera. Is it a variant that they release in India? Its made in Taiwan. Where is the sec VGA camera?
