If you use wifi, no it wont chew on your data plan. The phone Is actually quite good i have played with one myself. If you be patient for 1 second longer, it runs quite smoothly

which is weird as i have hardly anything in my phone... any help?
its kinda tricky getting used to the phone.. but it sure is worth it!! :D

I have had 2 of these because the first one needed to be charged 2-3 times a day. Now it needs one charge a day, but it does drain quite easily. If you check your Task Manager you may have other programs running that you don't know about. BTW I dont think you have to have the phone off whilst you charge, but if you do then it will charge quicker (I supose that is quite an obvious point)

I have a t-mobile MDA Compact 4, I can download e-mails, but then it deletes them afterwards and I cannot send messages as it keeps saying 'The message can not be sent, please check you have signal and your e-mail settings are correct'.
I realy like the phone, so I would recomend it but this is a big problem. Please, can somebody tell me if this is a server, network or phone problem? Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,
My battery seems to waste pretty fast... although im pretty much only messaging...??? :S
Just a question with charging the battery, is it true the phone has to be switched OFF to be on charge for 3 hours?????

drparth, 03 Aug 2008I have been using this phone since a month and not detected... moreIT is correct it is jus t matter preferance. Today I change my HTC Diamond with Samsung Omnia. I had the HTC for 2 months but I prefer to have the Omnia beacuse of 16GB and bigger screen even though enjoy having the Diamond for last 2 months.

I have been using this phone since a month and not detected any problens with it. Ofcourse it goes warm when I use net via wi-fi for a long time.
To all those who willing to buy this I would say that every phone has its upside and downsides. Nothing is perfect.
So neglect this queries and grab one... have fun...

not really a good pda. its seems very nive in the picture and its very fast.... but it is only average interms of interface response.
good thing it has gps.

It does get hot using it more than about 5 minutes or talking on it more then 5 minutes on mine too. it is small plastic phone. I do also having problem using the tuch screen since the screen is too small compair to IPHONE. I have already looked at Samsong i900 and I will change my HTC with samsung. It seem like it is easier to use than HTC for tuch screen and watching video's and so on.

The fact is:
A Extended battery can be purchased for around £30.00 pounds. The orignal one that comes with phone is a 900mAh. THe new extended battery is 1800mAh. ALMOST DOUBLE THE BATTERY LIFE
The Slowness in the GUI can be resolved by having the firmware updated
