Today morning(DD/MM/YY = 2/6/2010), i unplugged my cell at 7am. made 2-3 calls for around 1-2 mins, nothing other than that.

And then my battery drained down to 10% around 11am.
So you can see, could use only for 4-5hrs.

akki, 01 Jun 2010Thanks a lot for sharing your exprience. I am definately go... moreOnly too glad to help! :)
      But, I'm afraid I haven't provided much help... :(

Actually, I still suspect your phone's battery is faulty/damaged OR that you've got some heavy programmes or applications running in the background and you haven't noticed it, which I find hard to believe.

      It is now 11:40 p.m.
I have unplugged my phone at about 9:00 a.m., I've carried the phone all day long, updated Weather and Quick GPS only once, but I've played some games for about half an hour; I've made two phone calls (total: about 5 minutes) I've received a call that took about 5 more minutes of conversation and my phone still displays 56% battery as I write this post. All this, At 11:40 p.m.

So, you see, why I believe there must be something wrong either with your battery OR (it is not impossible, but it is much more unusual) with your battery charger.

' Hope it all turns out just fine!
      Best of Luck!

akki, 31 May 2010YES, I agree to what you say that in todays world of smart ... moreI'm afraid there must be something wrong with your battery.
I have retrolights out after 3 minutes and brightness set at 60%.
          Turn off after: 5 minutes

Today, a typical day, I charged my battery all night long, until about 9:00 a.m.
I then went out for the whole day.
I've updated Weather and Quick GPS twice (morning and late afternoon at work)
At lunchtime I quickly browsed the Net; that's when I read your post.

It is now 00:15 a.m. and I'm charging it again as I'll need it - as usual - for a whole day.

          You say:
"But this phone comes to 20% in less that 10 hours. Why??? I dont use any applications, no gprs, no wifi, no internet, in all nothing, not even music."

Of course I believe you, but - trust me at midnight, my phone still had 37% charge/power.

I must refer I only did two quick calls at lunchtime and in the afternoon. Total Talking time? Around 5 minutes, I guess.
I also don't listen to music on my phone: I prefer MP3 dedicated players. I only use GPS on large trips mainly during weekends and THEN battery does drain very quickly.
That is why I've purchased a Car Charger for my HTC D2.

I would advise you to try to change/replace your battery or find a friend or a shop who lends you one.

My honest conclusion/experience is this is NOT the world's best battery, but it keeps your phone working for a whole day without problems (except if you use GPS software for a long trip).

You do have to charge it every night - except on weekends where I don't use my phone, then it lasts for the whole weekend and I'll just charge it sunday night to be prepared for the whole work day.

Go to the shop where you've bought your phone and complain. Write HTC and complain.
You've spent your money: You deserve a faulty-free, functional product.
          Don't give up your rights!

          Best Luck with your problem.

Anonymous, 28 May 2010Sorry to say, that probably means there ISN´T ANY &qu... moreYES, I agree to what you say that in todays world of smart phones, we have to accept this battery issue because of large colour screens. Also agree to some extent about the limitations you talking about.

But this phone comes to 20% in less that 10 hours. Why??? I dont use any applications, no gprs, no wifi, no internet, in all nothing, not even music.

Then why the battery is not that much efficient to give me charge atleast for more than a day????? If it gives, I will be happy then with few hours of talktime+standby.

Just wanna ask you, how much your TD2 gives you battery life????

I read that there is an application for the HTC Desire called Juicedefender, it will increase the battery life of the device. Wheter it works yes or no, I don't know. And if it works on the HTC TD 2, I don't know, because this phone is WM and Desire is Android.

Battery life depends on its capacity (measured in mAh) and the use you give to your phone.
You can't expect miracles: nowadays, batteries cannot last as much as they did on oild phones without large coloured touch screens, apps, games and gps, wifi, etc

You'll have to accept the battery's limitations, WHATEVER phone you choose.

No "miracle patches" can overcome those limitations.
