Mobilemaster, 10 Sep 2009I think Android is the best OS now, I would like to own an ... moreIts too early to use Android now, its not compatible with WVGA, and the res in phones are still 240x320.. If you want a phone that i think in my opinion is surprisingly admirable, the Nokia n900, Linux are awesome with their Android and their Maemo 5 in n900.. Other wise wait a while then get an Android based phone.. Or of course wait for hTC Leo..

Can you still use a shor... moreNo you can't use hTC weather in 6.5 today unless you enable the TouchFlo3D in today settings and disable the 6.5 today.. However, you can install what is called Titanium Weather and it will be added in the 6.5 today.. :)

O..z, 08 Sep 2009If you compare TD2 and 3GS, which phone battery lasts longer?Good question.. most annoying flaw in the Diamond2 is its battery.
Normal use = 2 days
Wifi/3g/multimedia = 1 day
3GS has more and better battery life.
So in comparison between them.
3GS in the better side:
- 3.5" screen & Graphical interface
- Battery
Diamond 2 in the better side:
- everything else :P

Also do ... more1- Windows Today screen can add any kind of plugin's iPhone type, android type.. ect..
2- If windows 7 runs in 16.7m colors then yes the D2 will run it too..

Also do you mean that with the future WM7 the D2 will run 16m colors?
Do you have a gps app for sport like the Tracker from SE(calories,km,speed...)?

1- screen and sunlight
Since windows mobile can only run in 65k colors it's a bit hard to see in sunlight. But you have softwares like coreplayer and other apps that can run in 16.7m colors.. So the error is in windows.
2- Ringtones volume
Not so high, you will need a volume boost tweak which is found as a registry edit. Google it
3- No flash light/Pure Quality
Cooked Roms fixed the Camera issues and now qaulity is much better. (Still need flash in dark though).
4- Battery Life
In normal use (Only phonecalls) 2 days
In Wifi/3g or any phone feature use.. 1 day only.
Also battery is improved with cooked roms.
5- Wallpaper quality
800x480 is a very high resolution compared to any phones especially the SE Satio/Idou that runs in 360x640. But when compared with the 65k and 16m color it's hard to notice..
Under sunlight Idou is better, but who wants to view high res under sunlight so the Diamond 2 is better at that in videos and photos..
6- WinMo 6.5
Most people are already running it and happy with its performance thanks to cooked Roms again.. :)
If you're a camera fan then get the Idou but as a phone its not worth it cause its running Symbian so you'll have a hard time looking for software. Windows Mobile is an ocean of system tweaking and you can get Symbian and iPhone apps in it.. :)

1- As it happens with all screens, under direct sunlight, this one is not brilliant. You ennd up trying to make some shade with your hand, or your body. Better than TYTN, though.
2- Volume: Great and simple to use .mp3 or .wav sounds to change ringtone or alerts.
3- Without 3G, it will last for 2 days, but it all depends on the use you give it. I use 3G and WiFi and GPS and mine lasts for a day. I charge it every night so I can use for a full day of work.
4- GRAT picture and (overall) image quality. Although I "came from" a TYTN, the increse in detail and sharpness is incredible.
Finally, remeber there is no such thing as

Hello I have some questions for the HTC D2 users:
- Is the screen so bad under sunlight? (I replaced my nokia 5800 with a C905 because of it)
- How is the ringtones volume?
- The lack of a flash light for photos is a big mess?
- If I don't use GPS and 3G how long the battery will last?
- Did you get the same quality with wallpapers compared to 256k colors screens?
The price of this device is making it very attractive specially when you know that WM 6.5 is out but I don't know if I should wait for the SE Idou/Satio which will have a 12mp and flash light...but a double price too!
