Very happy with this phone.
Great built & sound quality
+ Lots of functions, apps & games
+ http://www.xda-developers.com/
which keep on doing a great job!
Battery NOT as bad as I'd heard.
Too bad about the lack of a 3.5' connection, though.

So the improvement of a cooked rom is more than in the official one..

Dont ever change rom or softwares from these websites, they have bugs, orginal softwares are the best, have changed back to original softwares.
And yeah the phone generates a lot of heat when charging or when extensively used. Dont know whether that a matter of problem later on.

The system is promising but it is still too early to buy a unit now. I would like to wait once they have video calling, bluetooth file transfer and better camera and video recording.
I would like also to wait for Android with Nvidia, and that's will be a great phone. Currently once upgraded my Pro2 with WM 6.5 will be more than enough for my needs, it can do everything that I want.

hey i just received my diaond 2, its a beautiful device, touch screen is amazing. here are soem questions i have so far.
does anyone experience a good amount of heat from teh device?? i have a case around it, n hopefully taht isnt the issue.
also, who do you add music to ytour sd card and then make it appear ni the "music" section?? everytime i try to put music into storage card, i hav to browse the music from the file browser
and the most important question i have, is, how do you know if your phone is using wifi or edge ( no 3g here in canada) to browse the web?? is there a setting in the phone taht can switch off edge browsing? thanks

Is it worth to buy SPB Mobile shell 3.0 over HTC touchflo?? It costs about $30. I kina like this shell. Anybody uses this shell? I want to know one thing before I buy. .Is it possible to install this shell with touchflo and switch between two whenever I want to ?? I mean I want to keep both but use one at a time. Thanks in advance!

Acer won't be a challenge, toshiba is trying and always have been if you go to their phones category.. But like u said things might change, but in the end we go for the better phone.. If you want a WinMo phone u go for htc, Samsung or SE.. But if you want Android, its still early to decide..

The first diamond had one of the best 3.2MP without flash, but i don't know what's wrong with the 5MP those days in HTC.. :(
My friend is using Energy Rom and took a photo that was reeeaaallly clear and amazing.. I think cooked Roms make Software cameras better in taking a well quality picture..
I thought X3 had 1280X600, unfortunately it was a rumor, it runs on 800X480..
But the graphics is great, i wonder about the features, cause i have a feeling the Android will be like the iPhone, only pulling customers for graphics features not what's actually inside..
But being a WinMo fan i like Android and i have high hopes for it.. :)

I like HTC, but one thing is not in their phones:camera flash(not urgently Xenon, Led flash is more than enough in a professional phone like HTC). The X3 will be announced too late in February? What do you say?

Mobilemaster, 04 Sep 2009I think you are right Captain, HTC could announce the Leo d... moreToshiba surprised us with the snap dragon, but there are no rom developers for toshiba as good as the rom developer for htc. What i mean is, if you buy a new phone with a very fast processor and an old phone with a slow processor, you can go and install rom for the old phone to work as fast as the new one, cause its a cooked rom, official roms are always slower than cooked roms.. We are hoping to get cookers for toshiba.. :)

That's more than enough to work fast and swiftly.
Software you may wish to install goes straight to the memory card.

Hi! i was wondering what phone u recommend more. this HTC Diamond2, or the Touch Pro? i havent found any comparision among these two phones, only the pro vs diamond, or pro2 vs diamond2. i could get eighter the pro or the diamond2 at same price, thus i wonder wich one is better. im interested in pros and cons that i cannot find in specifications. like wich one is faster, wich one has better video player, browser, stuff like that
