Regarding the friendly interface, i haven't seen any phone that works in a friendly way as the this phone with the TouchFlo3D UI, and about the notification on the task bar, you obviously need an updated rom, more features are available.. I recommend cooked Roms check my previous post.. Windows dropped out the highlighting feature for a word and i have no idea why at all.. :S

iumar.net, 09 Aug 2009How and where to upgrade TD2 from Win 6.1 to 6.5 any idea please.A cooked Rom is better, faster and more stable than the official Rom.. Diamond 2 users already have the win6.5 and are extremely happy.. Check out this forum:

                http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=486

First unlock the phone with H-SPL then choose any Rom from the forum..

There are already "leaks" which Microsoft is obviously using as test.
Many people are using pre-release versions as "beta testers".

As soon as it is oficially available, you'll probably be able to download it even from HTC site as you do with official ROMs.

Be sure to visit HTC site regularly and you'll be up to date will all latest (hot)fixes, ROMs and other minor updates.

I just got the phone (Diamond 2) and it's the biggest regret. HTC has taken the phone 2 steps back especially in terms of being user friendly. Some examples:

                                        1. Indicators along the top for various things like battery, phone signal strength volume etc does not work at all. I had to make several trips to telco shop - they opened 2 new sets and all had the same problem. I called HTC and visited their repair centre - only to be told it's normal!

                                        2. You cannot select sms messages to be deleted by scrolling through them. Its either 'ALL", 'ALL BELOW" or "SEVERAL".

                                        3. If you key wrong words in a sms, you cannot highlight the words to be deleted. The only way to do it is to backspace. So if you need to delete 10 words, it's 10 keystrokes!!!!

There's lots more I will not waste my time writing. Overall, I've never felt so frustrated buying a new phone. To make matters worse, the helpdesk don't even have a set to work on. Good thing my telco allows me to change another brand - no more HTC for me.
