The phone has its own class and is awesome for its style and usage.But the only draw back is its battery backup..it doesnt even stand 3 hr of talk time.can any body help me what has to be done to increase it????.

Can anyone help,when my D2 is in sleep mode and I miss a call or text the notification icon comes and sounds to notify me that i have either missed a call or text and the screen stays on and obviously runs the battery down, not always able to look at screen as phone is in pocket.

Ling, 07 Jul 2009Where to get CTRL & SHIFT key in TD2 ???You have various keyboards in the D2, choose the "Keyboard" one, it should be the smallest keyboard.. You'll find the ctrl & shift there.. The small keyboard comes originally with Windows Mobile, the other keyboards come from hTC..

My phone doesn't sound when receiving an SMS, I already check through the phone, can't see any setting to set the SMS sound.
Do you guys having the same problem, or there is no problem?

I Really Recommend the Touch Pro 2:
Last year we compared the diamond with the Pro.. The pro was better because of the following:
1- Keyboard
2- Better battery cover
3- Better Battery Life
4- Camera Flash
5- 100mb more Ram and double Rom
6- Memory card slot
7- TV out
I mean that's an upgrade, and even the blind would choose the Pro..
But your case, its different, The similarity is confusing you here.. So let me help you with this:
Even though the first pro was better than the Diamond, people still had their eyes set on the diamond, it's one of the most beautiful and elegant phones..
The Pro 2 however, has its shape and build quality to its advantage.. The Diamond 2 was a mistake when it came to the screen size, the Zooming bar and hardware button plus that void space took alot of it.. You'll understand if you own The touch HD, with the touch sensitve, and the same zooming bar hardware from the diamond in a 10X56mm little pad , that explains the huge 3.8" in a rather slim device.. Touch HD was built right!.. So if there was an upgrade from the HD its definitely to the Pro 2.
If there is another device now that is built right, its the touch pro 2.. The feel of it, the elegance, huge screen, the pre-amped speakers, despite the camera now, this phone is a definite laptop replacement, just like the Kaiser (TYTN II) Days..
Plus people are complaining about entering text with the diamond 2's on-screen keyboard..
I hope this helps, Cause my hands are itching me to upgrade from my HD to Pro 2 too.. =P

Pro, 05 Jul 2009Selective file copying is very difficult, it won't work.Hi ,
Try to use Ctr or Shift button from keyboard while copy or delete to select multiple files.It is very easy

Folks... is the landscape keyboard that has been introduced in the Diamond2 easy to use? Is it fine for use with people who have slightly bigger fingers? If a decent keyboard is a criteria for someone, as well as having a relatively lightweight phone... would you recommend the Diamond2 or the Touch Pro1/2? To make your helping me easier, if the touch keyboard is convenient to use (only moderate use - not heavy), then I will go in for the diamond2.

Pro, 06 Jul 2009I think you can separate the system volume and the ring vol... moreYou're right but i think he means the whole system and phone.. Cause System sound are (program notifications, warning and sms)..
