I haven't buy this phone yet. I just wonder, can I use this phone using Bluetooth connection for send/receive sms from my computer? This is the most concern function. If Active Sync doesn't support, any other opinion? Need your advice urgently. Thanks in advance.

This phone is good enough for those 1st time user to touch on PDA phone, why - because you can't find a PDA phone that is under S$500 with a 2 years mobile plan.

I had Acer n30, HP 2110, Eten M500, Dopod 818 Pro, O2 mini, O2 Atom Exec (Experienced O2 Zinc)and now HTC Touch Dual and this is the cheapest PDA phone among all, but if you really need WIFI, please choose other model

GPS - The 'Icon' is provided in the phone, but you need to purchase a GPS navigator and Mapking 2007. I had all these with map when I use my O2 Atom Exec, so I think it should be the same way to install in HTC.

WIFI - Confirmed HTC Touch Dual in Singapore don't support WIFI

Keypad - mine is 16 instead of 20.

Just had my Touch Dual for almost one week, very satisfied but did anyone know you cannot use any handphone pouch with magnetic button, it will trigger the power switch, once you slide the phone in that pouch, the next min you can see your phone is power on (I disable all the switch except the power switch), I tried on my SE P1i and O2 Atom Exec, O2 Atom Exec never switch on, SE P1i sometimes, but HTC Touch Dual power on everytime, I have to keep all my fancy pouch in the drawer and use the normal one, Sigh). The next thing is I cannot use TCPMP to view my realplayer file (format is *.flv)
even I associate all the file, still cannot read, since flv is realplayer file, maybe I should download mobile realplayer in this phone.

Overall my score to this phone is 9 out of ten.

"The reason why it came out without the WI-Fi is because wireless providers don't want you to have it! In essence, you can make an IP phone call without using your providers network, for network providers the killer application can be as deadly to them..." this was a post from Stevens, it should explain this question as to "why" HTC took WiFi out of this phone and Jenny (from Singapore), this is why WiFi is so important for many Windows Mobile users :)

Before everybody start giving expert opinion regarding HTC Dual Touch, let me give you our EXPERT OPINION where we have bought as a Company 15 pieces of those. The DUAL TOUCH looks GREAT and it is VERY PRACTICAL.

We got them with the 20 keypads so each keypad has assigned 2 letters, and it is a 3G and for us the Wi-Fi application was not important.

HTC has done an excellent job since is giving choices to everybody:

                      1) Touch (cheapest, no keypads, no 3G, yes Wi-Fi)
                      2) DUAL Touch (medium price, yes keypad, yes 3G, no Wifi)
                      3) TyTN II (high price, yes keypad/qwerty, yes 3G, yes Wi-fi)

Sorry that HTC can NOT make for most of you the one that has EVERYTHING and it is the cheapest!!

Oh, I can't imagine one HTC phone like Dual Touch but don't have Wireless, so what I buy this phone for? I'm afraid that is a big mistake of HTC.

I want to have this phone for my Christmas present.

Initially I want to buy O2 Life, but the comments frighthen me away, so after reading here and there, I decide to buy HTC Touch Dual, I'm using O2 Atom Exec now, this phone is still very good to me but I want to have a 3G video call phone and the RAM and ROM are much higher than Atom Exec and the price is still within my budget.

Of course I prefer to have WIFI + GPS but these are not the must for me, all the features in this phone already good enough for me.

Can't wait to buy, now need to open my eyes to see which operator give me good offer.

It's available for sale in Singapore, i'm using it right now

The operating speed is fast, just like Tytn ii. However, it sometimes hang there while trying to open an application or running some other things. Let's hope HTC will rectify this problem soon

Meanwhile, the ringing tone volume is the same as O2 xda Zinc, the phone call volume is the same as O2 Zinc too

One last thing, there's no antenna for Wifi & GPS, developers will not be able to activate both these functions

I used Mobile phones all my life in fact I had a retail outlet for 8 years and was selling mobile phones only.
I like this mobile it is very good …..Big set back with out wifi ….but that’s not the problem, I have a bigger problem I have only been using this phone for few days and I am having problems, it is my ears! , since I have been using this phone it has been hurting my ears I don’t know what it is but it is some thing to do with the phone I have even switch ears still hurts …the phone speaker and around the speaker is very smooth so that’s not it , it is very hard to explain , I think there are some extra rays coming out of the phone that is making my ear sore …….can any one share the same experience as me I am not going crazy but I think it is important that I mention this just in case there is a real fault on the phone. Regards Ash
