Newby Touch Pro, 08 Dec 2008Excuse my ignorance in asking this one. First time wimo us... moremicro SDHC and microSD are two different type of memory card but microSD is limited to maximum of 4G, however microSDHC is up to so far 16G.. 32G microSDHC is on the way, but definitely commercially available max is 16G microSDHC.. You can use both microSD and microSDHC, only difference is the maximum memory size.
nowadays people opt to use microSDHC due to higher capacity.. but device must be compatible first. HTC Touch PRO is no problem, it is compatible with microSDHC

Excuse my ignorance in asking this one. First time wimo user/forum poster. I need to buy some memory for the Touch Pro. Is Micro SD the same thing as Micro SDHC? Wikipedia says that Micro SDHC is compatible with the Touch Pro. The HTC user doco mentions nothing about Micro SDHC but just talks about Micro SD. Are they one & the same thing?

Can I buy an 8GB SDHC card for this phone?

I'm stumped and haven't turned the thing on!

Hisham, 04 Dec 2008Go ahead and get it, you will not regret it, I have it and ... moreHey, don't you know you can install the HTC TouchFlo 3D interface on Xperia?? I don't want to say Xperia is the best but this is just in my oppinion, Xperia has Panels user interface and you can install TouchFlo 3D as one of the panels. When Omnia TouchWiz UI comes out, you can also install it as a panel, so you can get Xperia Panel, TouchFlo 3D, and Samsung TouchWiz UI in 1 Device.

The experia isn't as high tech but is still nice. The pro has "touchflo" which is more flashy and cool. I know the pro has an accelarometer but not sure about experia. Also i think the experia has partial metal outside while the pro is plastic. The pro is more nice and newer, but both are good phones.

I've had this phone since September. Battery life was my only concern since it only lasts for less than a day. During the past 3 days I only charged my phone once and it is still showing full battery which is quite a shock to me.
I hope it goes the same or even lasts for 1.5 day.

does anyone else has the same experience?

Im totally very confused as to if i should go for Omnia, Touch Pro or Xperia..

I prefer having a keyboard, a decent battery life as i will be using a lot of wifi..

Also, Which of them has a better Sound Clarity, so that ringtones are crisp.

Im happy with 3 MP or 5 MP and it dosent make a big difference to me.
ANother point was How is the video recording in touch pro / xperia with flash on in the night??

I have had the Touch Pro for 2 weeks and the bat dies in half a day due to being on the phone all day and a bluetooth in my ear, so I bought a backup battery from Seidio that I charge on a seperate HTC that my US provider sent me by accident. I thought the X1 would be the bomb but it looks as though the keyboard makes it a dud. Press 2 keys at once for the numbers? At least my old HTC 6700 had a "sticky" option key. I really like the Pro Touch keyboard. Is there a ROM update for the bat life?

For those that are complaining about speed/battery life...
check out this website. (where all the actual developers are)
                      http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=440
After using the developer's ROM...I noticed how much difference there is. Ever since I did not dare to try the stock ROMs the phone companies provided (afraid that i'll hate this phone for life...stock roms give extremely slow speeds/battery life)
Please read through that website CAREFULLY...you do not want to break your phone.
i am not responsible for whatever you do to your phone.
Just like to share this well-known website.

1- The chrome sorroundings on the handset is actually plastic covered with chrome look alike, and it gets dented and easily damaged.
2- HTC Touch Pro has a better grip when your holding it due to the rubberish back, the Xperia is very slippery.
3- The Xperia has a cool LED light that lights up when you get a missed call or sms's etc. HTC has the same but in the circular button in the middle of the handset.
4- Xperia has more battery life, HTC has a shorter battery life not bad but needs to be recharged every day and a half maximum.
5-HTC keyboard is very comfortable, Xperia lacks the row where the numbers are so you have to press 2 keys simultaneously to actually type a number.
6- HTC has TouchFlo which is very handy when tryingto dial numbers etc. coz you can slide between your favourite contacts and dial immediately, the Xperia doesn't have that so you have to go through the whole list or open the keyboard and type the name, its dangerous while driving.
7- The speaker is low in both handsets but the Xperia has a little higher speaker than the HTC Touch Pro but still fairly lower than other handsets, but you get used to it in a day or 2.

I recommend you all to go for the HTC Touch Pro its worth what you pay for compared to the Xperia which will get you bored in no time and will break easily in one drop.

The above statements have been tested and confirmed.

Do not buy from Fizi.com. The site has the HTC Touch Pro's picture as the HTC Touch 3G.

Guys...first learn to explore a phone...
you want a better batry life...
Do this start-> settings-> system-> task manager->button->and here highlight the "end programs by tapping "X" "
This will kill any application when you tap "X"
                                    Except for Active sync.
Normally the application will be just minimized.
So obviously more applications running back end..
more bat is consumed along with slow processing.
you ppl are'nt kids to purchase a PDA.
So sit and starts exploring the wonders of HTC and windows mobile.
