nick, 23 Oct 2008can the htc touch pro play video back in VGA without stutte... morei am also interested in video record/playback specs..If you go by proccessor then max video record is cif at 30 fps in mpg4 so it suggests that it wont go to vga,,my treoo 500v will not take vga it just jumps along showing the odd frame but just because it only records at that resolution it does not mean it cant play back bigger formats,,I want to know in case xperia never appears befor xmas..ta

can the htc touch pro play video back in VGA without stuttering? just curious becuase i want the HTC touch HD and it is likely to have similar hardware.
i know the older HTC models had video playback issues
anyway an answer would be nice, im not holding my breath

By using the HTC Touch Flow 3D i find that device pretty much too slow. Further the screen is too small its no fun to work with this device on daily base. Just a bigger screen, bigger keyboard more speed and better camera it would be perfect. Who knows maybe the HTC Touch HD PRO will be released some day.

i bought this phone yesterday and then i turned it on it didnt appear touch flow menu, instead of it it was a simple one. I was looking how to activate it but i didnt succeed.
May be someone can help me with it

Everything was ok. only the head phone sound was too weak. I mean when you want to speak outside you can not hear easily.

Pro, 20 Oct 2008I am very happy to see some people still liking this phone.... moreI find its a shame that happens,,its the companys fault for chucking out fones everyday..Most are the same anyway in most makes and once it announced ,,launched ,,a bit of chat for a few months and everyones off to the next gizmo fone..
With the above said the support also runs out in forums and web reviews,people move onto the next thing rendering the forum fairly untouched..Only some of the outstanding fones continue year after year with continuous opinions and help and support which i really like..These in include n70,n73,n95,,s/e k750 htc touch/tytan2 but its those that break thru in terms of new features and reliability that keep selling,,theirs many a time ive gone back to k750i ,,n73,,sammy d900 etc because these are the tried and trusted and liked mobiles..IF htc brought the touch pro out and that was it for this year like xperia things would slow down and more people would buy pro as more reports come in and upgrades made available and people discuss it over a longer period,,"then" come the hints tricks and shortcuts for the said smartfones.My next choice will be xperia just for battery life,,better video record which i do use and it looks a bit more cheeful "BUT "if the xperia had never emerged id have gone for this touch pro and all others would as the most feature rich smartfone available..
What has happened is touch hd has come out and everyone piles off to that forum as the next big thing but the touch pro is still brilliant..
To all firms stop bringing out many models often the same and bring out superb truly tested devices once every couple of months to let the last model settle in and give it chance to sell,,we are not made of money but just as we save and can afford a model 2 months old out comes another one,,its credit crunch so it would be wise to cut down models...

Hi there, after waiting for X1, I decided to buy Touch Pro, the very first day I was little bit wary, but now after one week I am pretty happy about it. Its the best smart phone (PDA phone, whatever..!) til now, I checked X1's specs but htc is much better. I use the windows explorer of the phone is far faster than opera, you can also get some handy apps from htc site..., still struggling with the gps but the google map works pretty well, I also had an iphone 3g, that was the worst shop. btw for using htc you should have a minimum IQ of 120! Viva htc...
