After having this phone for 1 month I can say that in my opinion it is a very impressive toy, but nothing more. I am now waiting for delivery of my new Blackberry - this will be my 3rd generation Blackberry (with a 1 month break while trying out something different - the TP2).
These touch screen phones are interesting if you have the time to fiddle around and small fingers would definitely help. With the traditional mobile phone (qwerty keypad) I can text on the fly, answer email while on the move... and all very easily even single handed. There is no way I could stay in touch on the move with this phone like I do with a traditional mobile.
Of course there are many users who are very keen on this HTC touch screen smart phone and to you I say this is a great phone - enjoy. It's just not for me.
My TP2 (mint condition) will probably go on eBay in the next few weeks for 1/2 the price of buying it new (JB_bargainlover)and will be a great bargain for whomever picks it up. In the meantime I look forward to delivery of my new Blackberry.

Someone knows how to solve the following problem arised today to my HTC TP2: the Lisbon Summer hour was changed to the Winter hour, keeping all the others (London, Paris, etc.) in Summer hour. Result: now I have 2 hours difference to the other European countries. It seems that only Casablanca time accompanied Lisbon time.
Thank you.

Look HTC at N900 Nokia, it is possible!! What happens if you insert these specification with windows mobile OS: 16M color screen, stereo speakers, 32GB internal storage, browser with flash support, digital compass, high quality video recording, flash for camera and etc. Now again repeat your self with 528MHz prossessor and same RAM & ROM!!

Speaker of TP2 whether in speakermode or normal mode should be loud enough.
I guess, you may have it checked by the store and compare it with their store demo HTC TP2 unit or HTC service center in your area.

But the problem I've got is that during phone calls the speaker volume is low, I've adjusted the volume to the highest but still pretty low.

giri, 24 Aug 2009please tell me the battery life..
and how about the speed ... moreBattery life is quite good. I have HSDPA connection open for 12 hours a day to get e-mails. 15 to 20 miniutes talk a day, and listening to audio for 20 miniutes. WIFI used for 1.5 hours using skype talking or surfing the net and may be little more. Bluetooth connection for the handsfree. Including usage for the phone in this period is almost 5.5 hours without calls.
It is lasting for about 24 hours including standby at night for about 7 or 8 hours.
I think is not bad for PPC devices.
Speed is very good except the e-mail opening, sometimes it lags a lot for about 6 seconds. If I first open the inbox it may open quickly but if I close the inbox and try to open the inbox of another e-mail, it is taking ages like 6 or 7 seconds to open. Otherwise, it is OK. Do not expect iphone performance.
