Its been a long time since i revieved a phone that gave me so much pleasure, recieved last weekend (saturday)am and before i knew it, it was sunday pm.I have use now for a full week, and i love it, the internet is very fast and the interface is brilliant,my only problem is well errrr let me think ..yes you guessed it THE BATTERY LIFE...im afraid the 1500mh battery just cant cope with 2 hour call time and lets say 1-2 hour internet per day, you will find your phone dead before you leave work, so what i will say, is get a car charger or a socket charger, I would have preffered a thicker phone with a 2500mh battery, so will have to wait for the guy from hong kong to bring one out like they did on the htc touch pro 1, Overall the touch pro 2 knocks the socks of an I phone, because windows 6.1 is much more compatible with many of todays applications, remember this is only my personel view,

Received the Touch Pro2 last week. I must say that it is quite a brick but I can live with that given the fantastic keyboard. What irritates me to no end is the proximity sensor which turns off the touchscreen during a call. If I am listening to a voice message and (for example) I need to press 2 to delete the message, when I take the phone away from my ear and the touchscreen is re-activated, it does not go back to the phone keypad but instead goes to my home screen. So I have no way to interact with the voice message system since the phone keypad has disappeared. Very irritating indeed and I am now re-thinking alternatives.

hk, 27 Jul 2009Not to be snarky in return, but the HTC Touch Pro 2 to be r... moreI have looked up a lot of info on the net in the past few days on this, since I am going to get it instead of the MyTouch (that I was considering). Here's some details, sorry if this is a repeat.
I am in San Francisco and with T-Mo, so this all pertains to them:
1. It will be for sale in the U.S. on August 12.
2. It is considered a high-end BUSINESS phone, so it will be about $300 to $350 with contract.
3. The U. S. version will NOT have a web cam (the camera in the front) and will NOT have a 3.5 mm audio port.
4. You can look on YouTube under "Telus 3.5 mm Touch Pro2" and see a video of someone has posted of the Telus version that has a 3.5 mm audio port next to the micro USB port.
5. The U. S. model looks cool, like an iPhone from the front.
6. The OS will be Windows Mobile 6.1, but MS has 6.5 ready and users will be able to install 6.5 on their phones.
7. The TP2 will be emphasized as an office phone and its main features are the speaker phone (conference call capability) and that it can run all MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
8. I have seen a video of a European version with what appeared a lanyard hole, but I don't know if the U. S. version will have one. I like a lanyard on my devices like this because they are used on the run and they are easy to drop.
Hope that helps.

Not to be snarky in return, but the HTC Touch Pro 2 to be released in Canada under Telus very soon WILL in fact have a 3.5mm headphone jack in addition to the mini-usb. There are confirmatory videos on youtube to verify this.
