Anonymous, 28 Apr 2009ohk.. now theres a toss up b/w .. HTC touch Pro 2 , N5800 ,... moreit depends whats really important, if u just want entertainment with music or video being priority then N5800 is good or Iphone... Pro 2 is mainly targeted to the business world which in that case entertainment is not priority but rather internet, MS Office, PDF and so on which can keep them on top their business! Up to u though, this phone offers good entertainment too but just video quality wouldnt be as good as N5800 or Iphone other than that.. Phone rocks

Seriously I'm a bit confused with the way they arrange the 4 buttons down there (call, end, windows, and back buttons).
Don't you guys think the location of the buttons is too low? It'll be quite hard to reach them with your thumb with the phone in closed position. Of course we can always use the touchscreen, but still, I can't get it.

If this phone didn't run windows mobile, I wouldn't buy it. Another person said that these are for people who want to use their phone beyond their listed capabilities, which is spot on.

Actually if the htc products didn't run on Windos Mobile then I dont think that there will be a chance to expand more Htc products. Windows mobile is expanding slowly to 6.5 which is a nicer finger freindly interface then Windows Mobile 6.1, I wish the Htc Touch Pro 2 was coming to the Verizon Network or Sprint. Windows Mobile is competing greatly with the populer iphone.

I have just finished reading 17 pages of reviews and noticed some good points.
I own and currently still use an HTC touch with a slide out keyboard and have used it for 3 years now. I've dropped it from cars, trucks, down two flights of stairs and accidentally kicked it across a room. They are beyond durable and have, as many stated, endless possibilities unlike the fights I've read on here of the iphone users. The Iphone is a 'welcome to the club' phone. After using a touch phone for years they will catch up to the limitations and sheep follower problems that I and my company overcame years ago.
Theres a reason the HTC from 2 years ago still can sale for $250, because they're not crap production toys. My friends and family have started using the iphone & I have dropped them from a desktop level with screen cracking results. It is very unfortunate & they keep turning to me to help them pick a better phone. Its not always an HTC that works for them, as they are for a higher intellectual base people who care to use phones beyond their listed capabilities.
As for the camera, it is a huge business tool to have on your person at all times. We run a multibillion dollar industry and I personally use the flash as a light for evening events as a 'light'.
Most pictures by cell phone users are taken when out at clubs, bars, dances, evenings out, indoors with friends or durring the unexpected automobile accident. It would be wise to toss in the extra effort so no one bickers about the megapixels, audio jack size or other tiny features.
That being said, my phone still uses a 1.3 megapixel camera that functions clearer than the 3 megapixel camera phones I've seen and used. It is better software and awareness to smaller details that one who has used an HTC would know about.
I've otfitted my employees with the newer HTC phones and just have not had the need to upgrade as mine still functions in great shape.
One part of our company DJs many events. The evening light is great and a jack that would be easy to plug directly into the system would end any controversies.
All in all, this is a beautiful business product and the tilting screen is very user friendly for those who've been with smartphones longer than just the last couple of years.
I have used and owned every phone OS, Palm device, blackberry, Sony and the list goes on. HTC was the 1 time I honestly could not find a reason to get another device with limitations.
Good luck in your search of a good phone. I'm sure if HTC wants to hook more people who may not understand the magnitude of its abilities, that bumping the megapixels, adding a propper jack and appropriate light on this phone as well is a good idea.
Hopefully the notes are taken well.
Oh, and by the way, don't hold your breath on release time accuracies in the US. They've always been off and with TMobile didn't happen at all with the TP1. Just review comments from the early review pages of the TP1 and how the clames were made and all were off by 2-3 months.

I had a HTC Touch HD. The phone is fantasic to hold and the screen is amazing. I like the interface.
However. I hate with a passion Windows Mobile. It is awful. I wish HTC would ditch it for an alternative. The ONLY thing that stops me buying this phone is the fact it runs Windows.
