Never had a problem with reception at all infact tytn II picks up a better signal than my old trusty 6630.Gps chip is pretty good, certainly no complaints from me with that.Someone at Xda-developers compared tytn II gps chipset with sirf III and there wasn't much in it and of coarse it's far better than the gps chip used in models like n95.Be careful what you read and believe as some people will say anything.

I had the same problem and I find a solution by changing the Band:
1. Start
2. setting
3. personal > phone
3. Band: change band from automatic to GMS
4. choose(900+1800) + UMT (2100)
So, you will get 3 to 4 bars and a mutch better phone reception

I have this phone in the O2 Stellar version. Like the phone, hate the poor reception. It's awful and almost unusable. The network is always dropping. I've read that this is a problem. I live in a big UK city with lots of coverage, so it's not that.
Anyone else experiencing this problem? It could be the phone and O2 has agree to replace it so I can determine if I just got a bad unit.

All i need to know is is there a gps chip that would allow me access to data in the caribbean. St. Lucia to be exact. I already purchased this phone, only to read about the sirf chips afterwards. The island is small but am always in the forest and i want something to make reference points, as we dont use trails.

Well, purchased one at Dubai Duty Free on 9th Dec, and ... already in "Cell Com" for warranty repair. My bad luck or serial, question is now. All went well till this morning when, perfect machine died without a single sign that this will happen'. Simptoms, no way to make it start despite the fact that battery is fully charged, than when all moved (after taking battery several times out) no way to get mobile network signal...rest is standard story here...sorry we can only repair it, like I gave used (or say repaired) cash for it...fair trade,... one must say...magic word, think twice... no think more..cause of aftersales service that does not really exist in Dubai

Will the Tytn II support Windows Mobile 6.1? This is the only concern that is holding me back from running out of my house to buy a unit.

E90's screen is in a different league. It's got a suberb display whereas the TyTN II has a bog standard screen. However overall the Kaiser craps all over the E90 from a great height IMO.To the person who required a messenger-try this freeware app(supports AOL,MSN,Yahoo,ICQ,Jabber and Google Talk)http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Internet-Utilities/Instant-Messenger/imov-Messenger-Basic-25077.shtml

Is this pda's screen better then the E90's? I see the E90 has a bigger screen. But which one has a better resolution?
