This is just an upgrade of U11 so we shouldn't expect too much. The next gen (U12 I suppose) needs to be much more impressive.

Where is yhe bezeless design? All I see are some HUGE as bezels :))
Also:
- NO 3.5mm jack - I'm not an audiophile but I use the headphones all the time for everything WHILE charging! FKU HTC!
- Sd card slot available only on dual sim version - Everybody knows that dual sim phones are garbage (double the radiation, additional processing power and battery drainage)
I USED to love HTC. Now I'm totally over them. Specially after seeing their build quality - wet cardboard - U Ultra broke like a twig.
RIP HTC.
Looks like I'm going with Sony. Again.

I actually like this phone. I think it's the best phone HTC has made in the last couple of years. Yes, I won't buy it. Because the bezels are still big, the screen it's still LCD (though not a deal breaker), but still no 3,5mm jack, the front camera it's just f/2.0 and with no AF and they're still charging a lot of money for just 4GB of RAM, there should be 6/64 and 8/128 options just like OnePlus it's doing for 3-4 months already and for a lot less money. Well, see you next year HTC, maybe you'll get it right then.

stereo speakers .... on the bottom !
pfffff... . where was HTC and what they has become !
Once long time ago HTC phones where done with FRONT great stereo speakers now some shit on bottom...
and they don't understand why are going to bankruptcy

Considering that this is a late 2017 phone which will compete with 2018 phones, bottom and top bezels are huge hence screen-to-body ratio is not satisfying. Though impossible to use with one hand.

AnonD-653629, 01 Nov 2017U11 plus has worse secondary camera when u11 :D wtf?Firstly, less megapixels doesn't necessarily mean that it's worse. Sensor size, thus pixel size, and aperture all plays a part.
Secondly, it could be worse. My guess, due to narrower top bezel having less space, HTC resort to using smaller sensor size.
I'm gonna wait for the reviews, however.

Seems like a great phone from rumors. The front is not bezel less, but bezel-free enough for 2017 and 2018. I like how they stick with straight display corners. The battery is huge while the thickness is still ok. The other specs are all high end like it should be, 128GB internal base storage is really nice. The fingerprint sensor and nav bars could have been placed on the bottom bezel. For me, this looks like a phone HTC could have a comeback with. If they price it competitively, and if the price decreases over time, if it gets updates for more than 2 years, it will be a great phone.
