Buy something from LG or Samsung with far better support.

Long version: consider these few cons
- no 3.5mm jack (HTC provides an adapter)
- only single rear camera (One of the best around though)
- irregular updates (it's promised to get Android 9, but no time frame has been given yet)
- screen brightness is average
If you are okay with that, by all means go for it.

My s9 plus got the 1st of September security update this morning whereas HTC still haven't sent out a single update for the U11 plus I have.
Absolutely disgraceful HTC and you do deserve to go under and it's no wonder Samsung and other companies are wiping the floor of you.

DKS, 21 Sep 2018I know you frustration my friend same here as well no secur... moreYeah I checked out your link and my phone hasn't had anything either and it's a joke to be honest and HTC won't be having any of my money now and I have gone to Samsung and to be honest my s9 plus is far superior to my HTC U11 plus anyways.
I am sad to leave HTC but I can't be treated like this again when I spent all that money on one of there products which they have abandoned completely.

Adel J, 22 Aug 2018Just imagine if they won't update this end of last year fla... moreI am very disappointed now that my U11 plus hasn't had a security update and its still on the December 2017 security patch and I am most likely done now with HTC to be honest and it's mostly because my s9 plus blows my U11 plus out of the water in every key area for me personally and also the lack of support from HTC is simply not good enough.

They used to be quite good at updating, especially their flagships. Now, funding & manpower insufficiency has hit them hard.
The top management has to be replaced with someone better handling such dire state ASAP.

Btw, this phone is still running on December security patch! What the heck htc!!!!! Is this your test of project treble!!!!! They need to learn from Nokia devices and how this OEM keeps its word by monthly updates, despite less prices for Nokia...

Btw, they just announced today that U12+, U11+, U11 & U11 Life (Android One version) will get Android Pie update, just there's no time frame given yet.
