Back in August, one Android Central editor picked U11 the most solid phone of 2017.
Check his article out.

"If you skipped ahead & just want a tl;dr, here it is: dismiss the HTC U11 at your peril this year. There are plenty of reasons to recommend the Galaxy S8, LG G6, OP 5 & myriad other Android devices launched in 2017, but for my money, the most solid, most reliable, most stable, & most enjoyable to use is the HTC U11."

        Pinin Dav, 21 Nov 2017Hi HTC center, Why HTC U11 can not share photo or video fr... more1. when you want to share a photo from facebook to any other app including messenger follow the steps below.
        tap and open the photo>tap the 3 dots in the top right corner>tap share external>pick app or person.

        2. if you want to send the photo directly to facebook messenger, follow the steps below.
        do not open the picture> just tap share from the preview window you will see the 3 options (share post now/write post/send as message)

        3. to send video from facebook to facebook messenger do the following.
        do not open the video, from the video preview window tap share, you will get the same 3 options as stated above in (2)

        go try it now and report back.

          Hi HTC center,
          Why HTC U11 can not share photo or video from Facebook to Facebook messenger? the other phone can, but only HTC U11. I'm HTC's fan, but i'm not satisfy with it on this poit.
          The other phone has 3 function 1. Share photo now. 2. Write post. 3 Send as Message.
          Unfortunately HTC U11 has only 2 function. Pls build up your update now.

            and that was Bluetooth 2.1 OS windows mobile (long before there was even a version 5). got the drivers on XDA Forum.
            don't see why there wouldn't be drivers to do the same on Android made by a developer or ported from the S8. You just have to look for it. I'm no longer interested in dual audio so, so I never went hunting for it again.

              One last bit of confusion to clear up is dual audio support.

              Android authotity says:
              "The simultaneous dual audio feature is a proprietary feature of Qualcomm and is not part of the Bluetooth 5 standard."
              I've had many arguments with some Samsung users on your previous article about this a month or so ago. They were somehow using that feature as proof the gs8 already supported bluetooth 5 out of the box"

              All this time, what I want from OREO Update is BT 5.0 is dual audio support!
              And judging by Android Authority article, basically there's DENIAL of this.

              So, HTC U11 won't have DUAL AUDIO SUPPORT like S8?

                    Kudos for HTC for delivering Oreo update as promised on time.

                      Who's getting the Oreo update?

                        An update for previous post about buying HTC U11- 2 Spigen liquid crystal case and 1 Rugged Armor. Got a metal kickstand(durable) gift from Spigen.

                        Must say Spigen liquid crystal case is incredible, was surprised that comes with same hardness thickness high quality as the Rugged armor(gonna use after 1 year+ so my phone looks as if new again in design)!

                        Many of my friends say well for that price of each we can get 5+ chinese cases for our phones from alibaba, amazon, ebay...but tried that with screen protector after buying 3 chinese ones since Spigen have the nano liquid for scratches not screen drops/break/crack.

                        Now the chinese screen protector for my HTC U11 moved from its place!! during inserting Spigen case that exactly fits my HTC U11 and looks very nice!

                        This is why better invest some more money in ORIGINAL and HIGH QUALITY(when found) than buying cheap!

                        If this first screen protector keeps on moving, will try the other 2(like it) had bought, until a top brand makes a screen protector against cracks for HTC U11.

                          This is a brilliant phone. The camera is great, audio is loud and crisp! and so is that display crisp. The battery is not stellar, but will get through you for a day. The UI is almost stock too, which is a great add. I dont find any lag, which is excellent.

At the moment ... moreGalaxy s8 and s7 is no different in screen display, s6 edge plus screen brightness is way better than the two models. Also Vivid display is missing from the s8 which reason for me to sell my s8. The front camera of s8 was so rediculous. Now I am using the incredible HTC u11 which great in all aspects its camera (front 16mp and 12mp back) and its durability. The 4g LTE is way faster than the s8. I love HTC U11.

                              But you may want to consider S8's Edge design, whether you absolutely must have that one or you can not stand its flaws (no side bezels results in less durability, and prone to accidental touches)

                                  If UI and other hardware spec like audio quality not that important to you, buy which ever one is cheaper.

                                    Which one to choose Samsung S8 or Htc U11 ? At the moment Iam using Samsung s7 . For me its most important to have good camera and video quality phone. So help my decide...

                                      You and others who think and write alike must go out of their silly mentality like saying "yea other chargers can charge my phone" well surely even worst chinese charger will do the job but for how long and who on earth told you that comes with no side effects but on long term will appear if you keep using different chargers(had been used by YOU for long period so how efficient is it still!), which is also a childish way!!

                                      How difficult to carry a charger in your jeans or jacket pockets when really needed.

                                      DO NOT SPEAK IN NAME OF HARCOR. Never said reason of using and buying original was manufacturer advice but also LOGIC, stick to each device original parts, only exception is if can't find or can't afford(if can buy expensive phone, will not bankrupt for charger!).

                                      For God sake, HTC U11 is a new phone, can last without charge for 6 hours on heavy usage so why must you need more than one charger, even if you can't afford buying another original, and lazy reckless to carry box original when necessary, using similar fast charger(good condition) is ok if used ''SOMETIMES''.

                                        Hardcore is a very narrow minded individual and the more he/she post on the topic of charging the more You see it. HTC sells car chargers & battery banks as approved charging devices for this phone that are not even listed in the user manual. But he/she post truly believing "ONLY" what's in the book will do no damage. (so hardcor will never buy them because he/she READ THE BOOK)
                                        The phone also charges when you connect to a PC for syncing or tethering. And PCs are not made by HTC or even support Qualcomm quick charging ( but don't do any damage to the phone.) But according to his/her logic, if you want your phone to last you shouldn't connect it to a USB port on a PC. And for the " businessmen" that need that functionality (because no other type of person deserves convenience) they will buy a computer from HTC. SMH. I just had to give up after that statement from Hardcor.
