AnonD-670091, 22 Jun 2017Thanks, currently I am torn between HTC U 11 vs Sony Xperia... moreI think you will be happy with either. :)
but please not that, If you plan to keep it for so long, updates should be important for your list also.
Sony updates were kinda bad couple years ago, now I don't know, try forums to check their updates or ask here on Sony devices.
HTC has great support right now in American (1 update already for htc u11, not that good in Europe (where I'm, still waiting for the update). Don't know about the rest of the world. I was spoiled with my Nexus 7 tablet with week/months updates. going to any other brand is a shock. HTC promises 2 more Android versions updates, but that doesn't mean it will update every month with security updates like Blackberry does for example. if you value updates, go for pixel devices, or Apple. that's the only brands that update their devices faster than all others (on Android, in some cases 1 year faster from some brands). software is very important, its not only about specs and hardware. htc sense UI is almost the same as stock Android, that was one of the reasons I went to htc u11 (and a million more ;)) and i'm crossing my fingers that they will update more this year than they did last year, even if they were on of the first companies to put android 7 on their devices.

In last days the ambient temperature here was amost 40 celcius and the device was really hot, but even the walls were. The desktop mac near me was hotter. Htc u11 is cooler than htc 10, that i can confirm on the screen you notice the difference of temperature while touching. Dont know if that is enough for you in games. I will try some heavy games how it feels.

That's why I suggested that he should get a hands on experience of HTC's Sense UI first.

AnonD-510975, 21 Jun 2017How about battery life in htc u11 because it's very importa... moreIf your worried about battery htc u11 is the phone to go, beated all flagships out there. Today from 7 am till now 23.32, ive 64% of battery left. In my htc 10 with less use, i usually had about 20/30 %. I used the phone to go to the web, using phone by bluetooh on the car or on the street. Wifi always on. Reading emails from 2 accounts. Taking some photos. Using ok google with always on feature, using snapchat and whatsapp, using it right now to make this post.

I thought my htc 10 was good, but comparing it to htc u11, the 11 is from another league. Much better screen, lighter, larger but with a better grip. Much smoother and faster, better sound quality, much faster focus on camera and better photos much better battery life. Really its like comparing a mid level device to a high end true flagship device and htc 10 is already a fantastic device, but not from the same league than htc u11.

Your usage may be different but for me I find the u11 to be excellent with battery life and I would honestly tell you if I thought it was rubbish.

This is my second week now with the u11 and its a fantastic smartphone for sure and I can't think of anything wrong with it,it does everything I need with little difficulty and for those who are thinking of buying it I would say go for it and I ordered today a spigen rugged armor case for it so that will help keep my phone safe :)

I'm seriously considering buying this phone. I've already been jealous with the Pixel camera, but that phone wasn't very good in other aspects. This one have OIS as well which is a must. The only thing that ick me is the lack of headphone jack, which I guess I can get by with an adapter. I just want stock-like Android with the best camera possible, that's my two most important feature.
