I can CONFIRM that HTC DID certify VoLTE with T-Mobile on the unlocked U11, so if you have the unlocked U11 and are using T-Mobile, then just like with the unlocked 10, you WILL be able to use VoLTE (and Wi-Fi Calling)!!
See here for proof:

Also, don't judge a batt... moreOK, I'll take your advice and ask first.
Have you dropped your U11 out of a case as yet? I would like to know your experience with that.
I made my comment because of your comment about HTC drop test, not your experience of the fall you had.
And some people seem to think gorilla glass scratch resistants also makes is shatter resistant(like its some new glass with the properties of steel). So I'm not attacking this phone (I know what I said is a general statement about all glass back phones) I'm just telling people what could happen if your not careful, seeing that I can't find a single drop test video for the U11 or U Ultra on YouTube. But if you have a link to that too, please post it.

U11 The Best Smartphone of 2017 overall in all aspects owning both s8+(exynos) and U11 the UI performance and audio capabilities offered by u11 are far better than s8+ which suffers from micro stutters and lag occasionally as well as similar battery life and camera performance. Super amoled display is obviously better on s8+ but is not as vibrant as s7 edge and has black bars unless stretching and full screen application is used but the slcd 5 panel on u11 is the best display as far as slcd is concerned very good and vibrant. The fingerprint sensor is better situated and faster on u11 which is awkwardly placed on s8+ making it unusable and leaving fingerprint marks on the camera which can be annoying and other methods like iris scanner and facial recognition are not the best options to unlock the device, edge sense on u11 is something I love using its not as gimmicky as it sounds and is very practical in day to day use although limited for now maybe will have more options in the future, one feature that I love the most on s8+ is Samsung pay which is unfortunately not available on u11. Both phones are good and have their pros and cons but for me U11 is better overall performer and is cheaper than s8 which makes it a better option to go for here in India

It really seems that HTC is properly back with the new U11..finally I'd say.But 800$ price, common.Reduce it to 500$,and you'll be selling it like candys, you'll kill the market,no more Sams,Lg,Apples..

I've been using the U11 and the battery life is phenomenal.

It's unfortunate what happened to you with your Ultra but that isn't representative of the general durability of the U Series. It was a one off case and that's all it is just like one time the M9 fell from a decent distance but I needed to get it replaced. Luck also comes into play with these sort of things.

Anth0ny, 17 Jun 2017You shouldn't talk till you have the phone.
I have the U U... moreI completely agree with you on the fragile nature of the U phones and my previous phone the htc10 I did keep in a case and I admit I dropped it quite alot of times but it shrugged it off what with the case and its aluminium construction but now I have the u11 in a case and a tempered glass screen protector on it to but I do still baby the phone and I am terrified of dropping it also.
The U type phones are beautiful and super slippery but as you have learned they can easily break for sure.
I still love my u11 though it's the best HTC phone I have ever had.

Most phones will shatter on concrete. The s7, pixel, G6, s8. They'll all shatter on concrete. Get a skin, case, or glass screen protector to protect it. U can get them for cheap, protect your investment.

I have the U Ultra. I was sitting in a sporting facility concrete stands. The phone literally slid off my lap to the concrete (it's that smooth the back behaves like ice on any surface), that isn't even a 1foot fall and I got 2 catches on the back.
Not to mention last month with a case on, I discovered the entire back glass was shattered inside my spigan case that I got after the scratch. I don't even know when that happened. Right now I'm waiting on my OH UH protection replacement. You can read all my post from March till now in that forum. I enjoy having & using my U Ultra but I'm not going to lie a tell people it is as tough as the HTC ONE MAX I was upgrading from.
This phone is glass and you should treat it like that. You can't treat it like it's a M7.
