    This will be my next phone upgrade. Features I am looking forward to are the snapdragon 835, removed headphone jack, 64gb memory, and android 7.1. All of these should come standard with 2017 smart phones.

      BTW I have m9 and the 10...unrooted their battery life suck, so it MUST be rooted and tweaked....hence no OTAs

        Looks like a older samsung galaxy front and a iPhone 3gs rear, not sure on this but nice specs, but I had awful experience with HTC in the past, overall I think HTC is getting a last ditch desperate to impress ..the U11 don't impress me

              "can be easily used one handed" this was your 2nd mistake

                    No, the DAC will be as good as the 10's if not better. HTC confirmed they are putting the high-end DAC IN the dongle itself for the U 11. See here for proof.

                    http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-u11

                    Author quote from article: "HTC also hits all the necessary spec points for a modern high-end handset: Snapdragon 835, and models with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, or 6GB + 128GB, plus microSD. (In the U.S., it's 4 + 64.) That's paired with a 3,000mAh battery, Quick Charge 3.0, and IP67 water and dust resistance. Like the U Ultra, there's no headphone jack, but HTC will at least package a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle in the box this time. (The dongle itself contains a high-end DAC, I'm told.)"

                      Brainless consumers these days:
                      Glass back: "looks cheap", "breaks easily"
                      Metal back: "ugly antenna lines"
                      No headphone jack: "pass" {because although you spent $700+ on a phone, you can't buy Bluetooth earphones off Amazon...}
                      Headphone jack: "Sh*tty sound quality, because of sh*tty DAC"
                      NORMAL-SIZED bezels: "thick bezels" {because I don't want to be able to hold my phone comfortably, and I think that the S8's and G6's bezels are normal, when they're actually SMALL...}
                      Highest rated smartphone camera: "numbers don't matter" {even though the Google Pixel, which was the former record holder, took the best pictures...}
                      BoomSound stereo speakers: "1 of them is bottom-firing"

                        AnonD-366467, 16 May 2017Squeze feature is better thatn Bixby shity featureNice name but squeeze feature isn't rival to Bixby, Bixby is a virtual assistant, text extractor, image processor, and one in all software app, squeeze feature is just a sensitive hardware. It's nowhere better than the sexy curves edges of S8. There's nothing HTC can do but S8 can't but million things only S8 can do.

                                  Many people like to use their phones with one hand....might as well just buy a 7" tablet ffs.

                                  "Small *** battery"
                                  1. It's not. (ESPECIALLY when compared to current flagships)
                                  2. 3000 mAh is big enough.

                                  "No audio jack (HTC fire these designers)"
                                  Whilst I agree with you, let's be honest here, using a dongle is just not that big a deal. They're including USonic earphones as well, soooooooo...

                                  "Big bezel / bad design"
                                  The bezels are by NO MEANS big. Stop comparing it to the S8 and G6, their bezels are ridiculously small, NOT 'normal / mainstream'. The back glass has the single most interesting look on any smartphone right now, so stop blindly hating. Check out this video:
                                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M4Va7HCTh0

                                  "Fingerprint in front instead of in the back"
                                  A lot of people prefer them in front.
                                  You can unlock your phone whilst it's on the table, etc...

                                  "no BT 5.0"
                                  Not a deal-breaker by ANY means.

                                  "Glass surface on the back (good god)"
                                  Looks better, but is less durable. Also not a deal-breaker.

                                    Hey everyone.........read through the posts on this page and ones after for GOOD info on the U 11 and good questions too. Like about the DAC on U 11 vs. 10, backside material, etc.

                                      What is this obsession people have with bezel-less? Where's the advantage of that besides there being more glass to break on the front? I don't get it. Also, with bezels, you actually have a place to grab your phone without adding additional fingerprints to the front of the glass, where you'll be looking most of the time. I don't see there being an advantage to bezel-less, especially when HTC is offering dual speakers - something that, most likely, wouldn't be possible with a bezel-less design. You can't discount a phone as being inferior simply because it has bezels. That's ridiculous, superfluous and vain. This phone looks like it's gonna be AWESOME! I love the idea of being able to launch and control apps through squeezing the phone instead of touching the screen. It'll prove to be convenient and time-saving, especially in occasions when wearing gloves or being in the water. Plus, I can't wait to experience how this phone sounds with both its external and internal audio performance. In addition, the camera's already been tested and is touted to be the best available on any smartphone available, today. So, go HTC! Wishin' you the best!
