                    Upgraded from my old HTC m8.

                    It really is a great device. I almost could not be happier with it.

                    The ONLY DOWNSIDE is the BATTERY LIFE - it is about the same as m8. With light to moderate use I can get a full day, but if I need to do something that requires more power, I usually need to plug it in and charge it in the afternoon.

                    BUTTONS are OK. I still would prefer real physical ones, but, once you get used to them, they do the job and I do not have any issues with over/under sensitivity and ghost taps. Maybe early before the software updates some of the users had issues, but, as I got the phone after the software changes, I can not say anything really bad about it.

                    The rest of the phone is amazing - the build quallity, design, display (although LCD), sound, perfomance and speed, software, and CAMERA (really amazing pictures).

                    I still hope that HTC will get back on the track and become more competitive in the upcoming years. I have used 3 of theic devices and somewhat they always feel the best for me (mostly because of the feel, design and sofware).

                            LLL, 29 Oct 2018Hi, thanks for the review. "Finally, they support polaro... moreYes, perfect viewing from all angles. Before only landscape was fine.
                            It was one of the main features that used to irritate me in htc phones. I hade to take off my sunglasses to look at my phone, no way of using navigation from the phone on a sunny day in a car or street. Now everything is more or less like in OLED (in terms of visibility from polaroid glasses)

                              So, no problem with viewing for both landscape and portrait position??

                              Thanks again.

                                I have been using htc u12+ for almost a month. There are no problems with buttons, everything works pretty fine. I would still prefer real buttons though. For instance, not possible to click 2 buttons at once (for screenshot), or press and keep the volume up button to increase the volume till the end.

                                - no need to talk about speed, same CPU for all flagships;
                                - the camera is one of the best, only Huawei p20 pro is slightly better;
                                - audio is the best, htc has been the top for audio for several years already;
                                - display is very nice as well. Finally, they support polaroid glasses viewing (they changed LCD polarization angle). OLED is still better though;
                                - UI is the best. They really have a couple small, but very nice features that one misses when using a phone from other manufacturers;
                                - edge sense is awesome, being able to squeeze for some functionalities gives a unique experience;
                                - possibility to modify & add android buttons, or even adding the second line. Screen recording feature out of the box;
                                - fast charging, awesome earphones, beautiful design.

                                Can't say much about battery life. As an android developer, my phone is mostly connected to the computer, so didn't have a chance to really test it. Overall, it is much better than my old HTC 10. 3 hours of driving with maps, 4G internet, and screen on only used 35%.

                                Shortly, no regrets. Given a chance to choose any android device, I would still choose htc u12+.

                                      The.Chosen-One, 14 Oct 2018HTC is still innovative as they have always been. I've been... moreYou are lucky. I NEVER had issues until this U11. I have had the sticking down button. Now the battery is swelling. I had the 'over temp' shutdowns because of their power schema.

                                      The M8, M9, HTC 10, One S all them were great.

                                      Again consider yourself special now with HTC.

                                        I have had HTC phones for years. The M8, M9, M10, and now U11. Sadly the U11 is failing. I noticed the battery has expanded and the back is popped now. This after the sticking down volume button and various other quality issues. The fact it has no 3.5mm plug and that I must use a special adapter which prohibits charging while using the headphones is just silly. Even OtterBox no longer even lists the HTC brand on it's lists.

                                        Please let me know WHY should I risk buying the U12+ and getting crap again? Just to be looking for another phone in 2 years because the phone fails.

                                        I love the HTC apps and system configuration options (Samsung is too controlling and limiting like Apple). What choice do I have?

                                        Sad, because the U11 IF it kept working would probably have been a keeper for a long time.
