htc is really good. I used htc desire C for 3 years then in march 2015 switched to htc 816g and I'm still using this phone, I think it's time to upgrade sadly. I don't wanna get rid of this device! I like good things like these that are built nicely and last really long.
I don't like this mentality of buying and discarding new stuff every year and not appreciating what we have. This device is expensive for people like me lol :P but Htc you guys are good!

It's good to see HTC drop a new device. Reading over the specs it seems like a good device to me and at a decent price. I always loved the way HTC makes their devices! If HTC made a developer edition device I would get one. Something similar to a Pixel with no skin, overlay... I bet if HTC did ever make a developer edition phone they'd sell like hot cakes!! I hope they make a come back! I saw not long ago they were developing other things and kinda not messing with the whole phone scene anymore. One thing they were making was virtual reality headsets. Would be great to see them rise again. They're a good company!

As Ia die hard HTC fan I really like that. Too bad they are so stubborn about this 3.5mm jack but I thought HTC is long gone. Honestly, I still have U12+ and didn't really know what to buy when it's battery would finally die - till now.

No headphone jack
No IR blaster. With a price tag of 700$?

I bought the phone about a month ago. Whoever thinks 700.00 is to much for this phone is dead wrong. I love HTC, but I was using the U12+ and I almost went to Samsung after that. So, I know this phone will never be released in the USA so I just had to do it. So far I am loving this phone. The camera is great, the sound is amazing, the battery life is outstanding. This phone has a matte finish on the back, so you can grip it. I wont go as far as to say that its perfect, but thank god HTC is still around.

Until no information on Dual-SIM and camera update yet. but HTC released Desire 20+ better than U20 5G. What a waste on U20 5G. Thinking U20 5G is the most lousy phone.

Why not ever so slightly increase their profit margins per phone, apart from maybe their very low end side, and then have more standout features like a smaller size with this phone in particular with a headphone jack or at least dual speakers. HTC, you are so close, but you fail in some of the most simple things that improve the smartphone experience...
