I warn everyone getting a bit too excited about the chipset. It's a 7 gen 3 which is a great midrange chip, but not 7 plus gen 3, which is actually a flagship chip disguised as midranger, in case that's what you were expecting from this phone.
Either way, it's one of the top 3 purchases in a smart, or rather dumbphone world dominated by garbages, especially when in a few months it's going to cost less than £450. But Xperia 5V 256gb can be imported for a little over £550, so it's a tough choice. Cannot guarantee if an imported Xperia 5V will have satisfactory network coverage though.
Overall, it's a spark of hope to have a phone with decent chipset having microSD card and headphone jack at the same time that's not a Sony and hence within most people's reach. It's been a long time since there's been something wholesome like this in smart, or rather dumbphone world. I'm eager to see a full review very soon.

Htc U12plus, 12 Jun 2024I better buy 2nd hand U12+ I had before...last phone old ht... moreIt was actually the Htc U11+ that was suppose to be the Pixel 2 xl but Google left it and went with Lg version. Htc U11+ was much better designed phone than 2 xl that google choose. But anyway, all the other smartphones will be dead for me as soon as Htc releases Snapdragon 8Gen4/5 chipset phone. I just can't wait for Htc to make a come back for proper flagship level entry specs. Their software, camera and sound were amaing. I loved my U12+ :)

Buy this phone to support HTC. We should have good manufacturers instead of greedy ones like apple and samsung that purposely give you 128gb storage to then sell you 256gb for 200€ extra or leaving charger out of box and call moving the cameras 0,2 inches down an innovation, or spying on you and having ads on operating system like Xiaomi.

HTC really nailed it. Bit concerned about curved screen, maybe the 4600 mAh battery but otherwise, wow! Sony has a competition!
Finally a worthy upgrade from Motorola G100.

This costs way too much for a 7 Gen 3 when the Poco F5 exists for 400 with an 8s Gen 3 and way better software support.
Phones like this existing is is only going to strengthen the mass resolve against 'legacy' features (headphone port, notification LED, SD card slot which admittedly isn't nearly as useful because they constantly die), and nobody should be supporting HTC for using them as the sole selling point of this phone.

I better buy 2nd hand U12+ I had before...last phone old htc make and was a banger only let off by software support and slightly smaller battery than it's was needed... Camera sound and UI was mighty..
Basically u12+ was supposed to be the Google pixel 2 xL but Google went with lg version at the time. Shortly after the Htc's design team got bought off by Google for 1,1 bn $

I missed you so much! Smartphones are so boring now a days. Your every phone made me get so excited at their launch :) .. I am so glad you are making a comeback. After looking at U23Pro and now U24Pro gives! It gives a hint you are working towards the flagship level phones slowly but surely. I hope you in following years, you release a Htc U25Pro or U26Pro with proper flagship device specs with powerful Snap 8Gen4 chipset. Wish you the best! Idk why you always have a special place in my heart even when i moved to IPhone 15PM. But i definitely wana buy U24Pro and keep it as my memory of Htc latest phones. Can't wait for you to grow once again... :)
