      For a phone of this size htc should had try harder. No stereo speakers, no headphone jack, no waterproofing, battery small for a phone of this size, questionable durability due to the glass build and on top of these a premium price tag without the phone being premium.

        the capacitive touch area of the the "back" and "task switcher", is not as small as the lit icons. the touch area actually spans the entire area between the home key and the lit icons, and that isn't small. so again, don't repeat things you didn't try your self.

          I've just upgraded to u ultra and love it. The camera It's amazing the screen is brill the secondary screen is fabulous. And HTC assistant came PRE INSTALLED!! so all you who say otherwise I suggest u get a real phone from a real shop. HTC have done themselves proud this time. Is large, light, fast and you can do so much if u watch the tutorial video on HTC website. 😀

            for the people that have been watching reviews that said the phone is to big for 1 handed typing, you should know the default keyboard can be resized and relocated to any where on the screen. If only the reviewer had taken the time to go in the keyboard settings that's right there in the top left of the keyboard.

              I have one directly from HTC.com and it has no light bleed I'll gladly post pictures online if you would like to see.

                This phone assume... Really battery is very good and camera is best ...the beautiful mean this just because of second display phone is big ...but I love it HTC sense make me relax

                  -Doesn't have a new chipset (Doesn't have SD 835)
                  -Looks like Samsung
                  -No wireless charging
                  -Ultra Small battery
                  -No waterproof
                  -No headphone jack
                  -Super tiny buttons with finger print on a small button compared to the phone size
                  -Average camera performance compared to LG G6 and Samsung S7 edge
                  -Top of the screen has light flaw

                          -Doesn't have a new chipset (Doesn't have SD 835)
                          -Looks like Samsung
                          -No wireless charging
                          -Ultra Small battery
                          -No waterproof
                          -No headphone jack
                          -Super tiny buttons with finger print on a small button compared to the phone size
                          -Average camera performance compared to LG G6 and Samsung S7 edge
                          -Top of the screen has light flaw
                          This phone isn't even worth 450$.And has huge bezels.

I like the wider design of 5.7" better that the taller design like in LG G6. Just would prefer if they had a local gallery app instead of routing it to Google photos. I don't always stay online especially when I travel abroad. Else just need to synch it when I get a WiFi Connection. Otherwise superb feel.

                                1. Don't buy because the battery is small… did any of the YouTube reviewers you look at tell how much screen on time they were getting, or were they just quoting battery size?

                                2. Don't buy because it ripped off LG second screen…. Is the second screen a bad thing? So what if they didn't invent it. may things we buy are not made buy the people that invented it.

                                3. Don't buy because the back looks like Samsung…. Does that make it look ugly, I think not.

                                4. Don't buy because of no head phones jack…… what comes in the box is much better than what most people use. I for one have never spent over $100US on headphones.

                                5. Don't buy because it's not waterproof. Well I ride in the rain with my HTC ONE MAX and that phone is more than 2 years old and still working with no waterproofing.

                                6. Don't buy because of CPU… but LG is using the same CPU in the G6 and the same reviewers are not saying don't buy the G6.

                                7. Don't buy because it's big… but what if you like big phones?

                                8. Don't buy because of the price... If it's too much money for you to spend on a phone, then yes, don't buy it. But that doesn't make it a bad phone.

                                So don't just hear “don't buy” and jump and say “YES!”
                                Listen to what the reviewers are objecting to and see if it's things that are going to affect you in your life style. (e.g. if you never use corded headphones are you going to “not buy a phone” because of the lack of the 2.5 port? be real)

                                And just as there are reviewers that are saying it bad there are others that like it. So test it out and make up your own mind don't have someone on YouTube make your mind up for you.

                                  To all the people talking from the side of HTC U ULTRA,
                                  are all those Youtubers lying about this phone not to buy this or the rival companies paid them not to give a true honest non-biased review?
                                  HTC once was a classy phone. Was. When the era of Samsung S series just began. But no more. Truth is bitter. But it is what it is. Use a Oneplus device and then use a HTC. You will get to know what I am talking about. Even new companies like Oneplus and Xiaomi are rocking the market whereas HTC is falling down the pit @ 100m/s

                                        You are just contradicting yourself all the way around.
                                        The U ultra does have a robust build.
                                        And the battery also out last the m8 in usage.
                                        U Ultra has a better DAC than the M8. I would know, as I live in a house that has both.
                                        matter of fact the audio on the HTC ONE MAX, that is older than the M8 has better Audio than the M8. (that's the phone I upgraded from.)
                                        And why do you think the U ultra is not stable?
                                        Did you even try the phone before you criticised the things you know you don’t like about it, or you just talking from what you see on YouTube?
