After a lot of thinking and confusion, I bought the HTC Wildfire a few days ago. This is my first android phone and to my opinion this phone is great for first timers. The OS takes some time to get used to, but after that it’s a really good experience.
Upon reading the reviews, I was really confused about the screen. Is it good? Is it bad? The confusion was driving me crazy. Now that I have one, my opinion is it’s not bad, but it’s not good either. If you have previously used high end phones (not necessarily Smartphones) that this phone would be a downgrade. But if you have been using mid-range phone then it would be okay. Everything looks great on the QVGA screen. The only problem is some apps do not work.
Battery is good. It can last one whole day even with vigorous use. If you do not use internet much and set the screen brightness low it can run for 2-3 days. I’ve seen that GPRS eats up a lot of battery juice. I do not have access to 3G, so no comment on that.
Music is awesome and camera is good. Typing is a treat. And telephony is loud and clear.
My advice is, if you are a first time android user, do not hesitate anymore. It is a great phone. But if you have previously owned an android then maybe this is not the right choice for you. But remember, this is one of the cheapest androids. A better specification will cost you more.
Enjoy and have fun.

i have had my new HTC Wildfire for a Month now and its the best phone ever. But one problem i took out my 8GB Memory Card out and put in my Laptop to download my photos from my phone, when then i put it back in my Mobile again it would not work anymore so i had to use a 2GB Memory Card instead, so ive lost my Apps from the 8GB. I took it too Vodafone where i got it and they were no help at all.

It is waste to spend money on this phone there r better phones for this price, with such low resolution and cpu you will find lagging in ui after installing some applications..cpu and ram is to low to run android os smoothly after some time..video recording quality is not good.sound quality is too bad compare to nokia phones..no live wall paper..no gingerbread update from htc..cant play quality mp4 video(not hd) even with inbuilt player or with any apps in market..except for thousands of apps(many games wont work or work with lagging) wildfire is a bad phone for such price..

It's really annoying, when i plug the usb cable to the computer, and it starts to charge the battery. Even if the connection type is set on disk drive. Is there any option to change it? Any suggestions? Thanks.
