Battery life is poor if you have email notification turned on. Otherwise its great piece of kit so easy to download 2.2 over the air. Screen is abit small for using the internet but its ok i would recommend the phone to everyone whou doesn't mind charging the phone everyday as all smartphones have high spec which uses battery power

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2010Hi does anyone know how to install app in sd card? I update... moreYou can't install apps on SD directly. You install it to your memory, and then move it to the SD card.
"Menu" -> "Settings" -> "Applications" -> "Manage applications"
You will see the list of your installed applications. Choose the ones (one by one :)) you want to move to SD card. Once an app is selected, there will be one button labeled "Move to SD card". Hit it. Bingo!
N.B. The app must support SD card install. All apps do not.

mark, 28 Dec 2010Hi guys! I want to buy this phone but I am wondering, is it... moreThe upgrade always depends on
1. Google
2. Phone manufacturer
3. Service Provider
Now Google has released Gingerbread (2.3)...so it's now with HTC for the customization (stock ROM).
Now it depends on your country and SP when you will get the update.
And the update will also depend on a phone model's age. If it's released 2-3 years ago, it's hard to believe that any manufacturer will spend money on making a stock ROM for that model. In that case, you can always go for the custom ROMs. :)

Still no Froyo update for my Wildfire :(. I contacted HTC and here is what they wrote:
Thank you for contacting HTC.
With reference to your query, the Android2.2 has been released to Wildfire. The updates are rolling out steadily. However, the servers only have a limited number of download slots. Because of this, not all handsets get them at the same time, and this can also be dependent on the network. It's suggested that you may wait for some more time. On the device, you may go to the Settings>About phone>System software update>check now with the device GPRS or Wifi turned on.
(Before doing upgrade, please back up your phone memory data.)
