I'v had this phone for about six months now and i consider it one of the better smart phones i have used. It has a decent interface, a sharp and clear display and easy to understand and fun to use apps. However unlike every other phone this one has a few negatives one may not be able to come across at first sight.
      1. Small screen size - compared to other smart phones in the same price range this one is a loser big time. Due to which using the keyboard becomes a pain many times and takes a person more than the average time to get used to it. As the screen size is very small, the keyboard appears to have been compressed into it as though an after thought!!!

      2. Low battery - The battery is by far one of the worst i have ever come across. I dont use most of the internet based applications on the phone nor do i play many games. Yet i'v observed how quickly my battery gets consumed. Dont expect the battery to last more than 3-4 hours if you switch on your 3G/2G network coupled with any application or game.

      3. Touchscreen and moisture -
No doubt the Wildfire S has an amazing touch screen, which is almost as if, not more, responsive than the iPhone. However one this i have come across (and im not saying its always so, maybe its an exception in my phone) is that if there is a little bit of moisture on the screen, it becomes unresponsive. Then no matter how many times i jab it with my finger, it remains the most stuborn ass touch i'v used since the days of the first gen moto ming (may it r.i.p).

      4. The irritating memory issues -
I think (with no hard fealings to the opposite sex) women and phones have a lot in common. For me atleast. No matter what kind of a women i date five to six months down the line they become unbearable. Maybe they change or maybe i discover something new and unappealing in them. But a few months down the line most really become unbearable. And thus i can rightfully draw an analogy between them and my phones. Its not like i dont hold them in low regards. Mind you i really respect them and all, but well you get the drift.
So anyway, just like women phones also become unbearable. they lose there appeal, or they become outdated and boring. Or theres something new in the market. So basically i change them every few months. However when i bought this one. I thought eureka! i have found my phone. The one il change only when the phone itself begs me to retire it. But alas.

The biggest problem with this soul mate phone of mine is its impractical and illogical memory. I mean are the creators at HTC dumb or are they extremely sly. Id say they are insanely sly. I mean think about it, dont you think they would know what kidn of space i required to run so many widgets on a home screen. Or than every time you load an app it creates some cache memory in the inbuilt memory of the phone. So why the hell would they put just about enough memory to enable it to operate as a basic color touch screen phone??? I wish i knew the answer to that question, however since i dont i can only guess they did it to get some kinda kicks outta seeing people curse them.

Anyway bottom line, please keep track of updates n stuff on the web regarding the memory issue this phone has. If they can be resolved then do buy it, cos all said and done it is an HTC and an ok one at the price you pay, but for the memory issue.

And if this memory issue gets resolved please post it on this link so i can also be duely notified.

      Regards
      Shikhar.

Though generally the unit is good, but I would like to comment on the speaker bein' used by HTC on the Wildfire S. It's not logically audible on a common users of cellphones. All aspects of the phone is excellent except the speakers. If HTC can replace or upgrade and modify to the highest audible audio output, thus maybe all customer of HTC will be glad and would be elated if this can be done by HTC. Thanks and more power.
