the phone is very sleek and stylish! looks amazing! feels very grippy and the body is of the same quality as that of 8x!
the screen is big! gorilla glass!and the speaker is okay!
the software! WOW! never seen anything like this before! an excellent phone for messaging!
being a windows phone it does hang! but recovery is fast is can be overlooked! for those intrested in having a lot of games and space consuming apps! sorry friend! this isnt the phone! this is like the delicate version of windows 8!
its been a week since i bought this phone! has hung twice! but again! the software is way too cool! cool enough to ignore the hanging problem! and charging takes a lot of time!thats when you connect it to the computer! and the battery life- a college morning with nonstop 3g surfing and whatsapping and an afternoon and evening with whatsapping and few calls! by eight at night you might get the call!
anyhow! recommended for those who really want to try out windows 8! because its not at all dissapointing! and for those app lovers! android is still the king!
p.S ios is very boring!

App Size, 04 Jan 2013Since I don't really download that much apps, and I just ca... moreHello, the app sizes vary, usually well developed games can take up to 45MB but on the contrary, majority of the apps are well under 10MB and these are the apps I use the most. E.g. BBC news, SkyDrive, simple fun games, useless but fun apps etc. I even have offline maps downloaded for the UK (250MB), which is a great feature on WP8. So app storage shouldn't be a problem for majority of the people.

AnonD-36731, 06 Jan 2013How does RAM provide a 'intuitive browsing experience'?Hi Cows, the 512MB of RAM provides a smooth running of the OS and all the functions I've been doing on the phone, don't you agree?

I have not tried the car charging so I don't know about that sorry. But for the bing problem you seem to be facing, for me, I search for something on bing, click on the link and yes it opens in IE. But, should i want to go back to bing, its simply the case of pressing the back button. Also in the IE settings, you can have new links open in a new tab, so that your current page is not over written. As for bing voice search, I find it pretty good even though my accent isn't perfect.
Thanks, Jeff

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2013any random reboots????Hello, I have not experienced any random reboots, although I had to manually reboot a few times because the WhatsApp app can crash sometimes but again this is not the phones fault. Thanks, Jeff

rAJ, 03 Jan 2013hI jEFF, Some say that internal memory is not enough and we... moreHi Raj, The internal memory is a weakness, although the phone has 4gb of space, around 3 GB is taken up by the OS, so you only have 1GB space for apps. BUT this phone does have a MicroSD Card slot so all your multimedia can go there, interms of apps, I have an offline map of uk downloaded (250MB) but still has around 350MB of app data (already have alot of apps installed). I believe in the future Windows Phone 8 will get a software update to let apps be installed on a memory card (just my thoughts). Thanks Jeff

JeffJ, 02 Jan 2013Hi all, I bought this phone with orange for a very good pri... moreYou mentioned the charging and I had the same thing at first (with the last few percent taking over half an hour). The big issue I had was car charging. I drove for an hour and the phone only went from 12% to 20%. I can't think howmuch fuel it would take to fully charge the phone in a car.
I started to wonder if it required a crazy proprietory adaptor (like the iPhone which can't work out it's own current to draw) but no.
How is car charging going for you?

JeffJ, 02 Jan 2013Hi all, I bought this phone with orange for a very good pri... moreI am not a big fan of Google search either but I found that Bing search failed to let you open links in a new tab. Somehow the search results weren't actually in the browser, it was weird. The result was having to go back and forth deciding what was the best link. Going back and forth on the 8S is an issue in itself.
I liked the fact that Bing had no missleading advertising links (as Google has) but I found the number of hits returned to always be very small and not being able to explore links in separate tabs was really frustrating.
The audio Bing search was useless as it just misinterpreted everything. I find that feature really useful with Google.
I really liked the picture search pages so it was a shame that it had those functional issues. In the longer term I would say that Bing will be better then Google search on a mobile device but they have a bunch of issues to fix.

I own an HTC 8S since Christmas and it has some flaws. Win8 OS is really good and smooth and easy to use. Design is quite good, except that I couldn't open the lid on the back to put my sim and sd card in. Beats audio is perfect to my ears. Battery is out within a day, even in the power-saving mode and this is very unpleasant. The camera button wasn't responsive at some point and so did the Internet Explorer -I was really disappointed. I expected perfectness from HTC...
