htc losts its market share due to its high price and lack of front camera.see how many people visited nokia 620 and htc 8s.htc never worry abt people need.but concerns only with huge profit margin.

We got this phone in at work yesterday (yea NZ is slower to get things) and I cracked open one of the boxes as a demo model. Took it home and had a good play. Was brilliant, fast, smooth and easy to use.
However back at work today I tried to hook it up to the wifi there (it worked perfectly at home) and it froze, ever since then its freezing a lot. I did a full restore and reset before I left it with the other Telco advisor so I'm hoping that will sort it, but has anyone come across this or know why that would happen?

512 MB RAM will be fine on Windows Phone 8. It's not a very taxing OS and the screen on the 8S is only WVGA.

no front camera
no NFC
HTC you miss the target, Serious-mature user will go for 8X or similar, less serious - young will go for something with front camera (look other mobile manufacturer) for same or less price, and, like lumia 620, with NFC (it's cool to transfer something on the fly with touch on other phone)

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2012512mb ram is to low. we need minimum 768mb ram. 512mb ram i... moreA Windows 7 or Windows 8 laptop can run on 2 gig of ram. So what makes you think a phone needs 1 or 2 gig ram?? It doesn't if the software is right unlike laggy power hungry Android. Android needs that much ram Windows phone doesn't.

Dear people that keep suggesting Android, Blackberry and iPhone...why would someone be researching a Windows phone if they wanted another platform? Your comments are wasting a lot of thread space for people that actually want an intelligent opinion on the operation of the new Windows device.

get the nexus 4 instead. Much MUCH higher specs and so much apps and customization options. Equally important in my book. Leaving it stock isn't too shabby either, and you're guaranteed OS upgrades straight from Google. IMHO, MS really did customers a big disservice when the past gen phones like Nokia 900 (which is still relatively new) couldn't be upgraded to WP8. I was abot to buy one for my second line. Thank God I didn't.

Htc why do you have to mess things up by putting just 4gig of internal memory.8 would have been ok for 2012 standards. Lack of FFCis also a minus but I can live with it except that it got me wondering how well Skype is gonna work on this device since its integrated into the OS.
