Huawei allegedly sold over 400,000 tri-fold Mate XT units already

Huawei's Mate XT is the first and so far only tri-fold style foldable smartphone, and it launched in China back in September. It's anything but cheap - in fact, it's very, very expensive.
And still, a new rumor from China now claims that Huawei has already managed to sell over 400,000 units. That's obviously not a huge number for a slab-style smartphone, it's not even big for other foldables, but for a device this expensive, a first-generation product no less, it's actually quite good.

Back in February the Mate XT was launched globally, but of course it's a much tougher sell outside of China since it doesn't have Google services on board - and it's even more expensive as you'd expect due to various taxes and tariffs.

They don't sell very well....so why bother? They have awkward screen ratios, which limits app compatibility. They also compromise durability.

lol, like other displays are not fragile... forget ''bendables'', I see a lot of people using broken screens, not me tho. It depends on usage, if you need MIL STD 810G phone, bendables are not for you maybe... I still remember ho...
