TODAY TRIED to download google chrome beta app for mobiles --WOULD NOT DOWNLOAD on G300.. something to do with GINGERBREAD g300..

Had this phone for nearly a month now
phone is amazing you can't get a better phone for the price
there is one problem the low speaker sound but can be fixed:
An over the air (OTA) update is now available that fixes the low volume issues. The update is 14MB in size and takes about 2 minutes to install.
Update process:
1. Open settings
2. Scroll down to 'About phone'
3. Choose 'Online upgrade'
4. Choose 'Firmware upgrade'
This will download the update

First of all this was jus my opinon that is based on three of these phones that are used by my family. One of the phones had to be replaced. These phones are vodafone uk and if you google this phone alot of people have the same problems with it. As this was jus my opinon and you seem to have a great phone you should tell the world bout it instead you made an opinon against me. Someone u dnt knw. Now between us who do you think needs to GROW UP.

For me is not a problem since I don't use my phone for music listening, but through headphones the sound is not very loud so your friend might not be happy with it. Maybe there's an up to improve music playback, or maybe it will improve when the OS will be upgraded to ICS. Otherwise, regarding the specs you won't find anything better

blondi that's not true, i have this phone, and don't do that, i have lot of games asphalt 5, pes12, showgun and so one, no one force stop, the internet don't do that and not even the message really grow up.
and its very resposnsive better them some phones for 300€...

blondi, 08 Jun 2012but this model today. andriod system keeps force closing. g... moredo not buy this model. battery life only lasts half a day. cnt take it out because of it. everything force closes. laggy and touch not very resposive. plz do not waste ur money on this. buy another modek. its the worse fone ever.

I would recommend this phone.
- big great gorila glass screen
- ARM v7 1GHz procesor is more than fast enough for web browsing, and most of the games
- almost great build quality, little cracking in one part of case, but better than most phones I tried.
- OK camera. I dont like it but it works.
- battery 1,5 days of heavy use for me
- I have no sound problems (b886) from VIP Serbia
- home, menu and back buttons always works but only in upper parts (b888 should fix this)

but this model today. andriod system keeps force closing. google internet force closes all tha time. msgs force close. fone is laggy. touch screen is not responsive .you have to press hard to open anything. got update for volume but still nt loud enough to hear mgs alerts or ringtone. BEWARE! if ur thinking of buying this model. worse phone EVER. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE. im returning it 2moro. buy another model.

huaweiproblem --sold g300 via vodafone exclusively with huawei public promise of full ics update ..now huawei says only demo ics with limitations .. this is result of sony cheat on xperiaplay setting dangerous precedence .. very soon - handsets makers shall false promises infinitum ..huawei g3oo has basic specs basic performance but good entry level with low sound volume issue even after vodafone ota b885.. please buy with if you must -on as it is basis .. no real updates ..no bug fixes .. no sound uplift .. gsm arena -- can huawei and sony be legally held accountable for false salespitch promises ?? please comment gsmarena ..

FYI the CPU speed is according to OTHER sites, but UNLISTED here 1Ghz. ALSO it´s reviewed by other sites as SUPERIOR to othe "Entry-level " Smartphones. ONE site mentioned that it had similar specs as the Google / Samsung Nexus of 12+(18?) months ago. Emphasizing the reason for this phone being able to out-class almost any similar priced phone. INTERESTING....

For £5 you can buy unlock codes for this phone from eBay, which will enable you to use it on services which may be cheaper and more convenient for you, than pay-as-you-go, such as monthly sim-only contracts (with a one month maximum duration), 12-monthly, etc, etc; another tip, those in the know, buy those sim cards having clicked through "topcashback", having deleted the 'cookies' for the retailer first, as the major mobile companies often offer sim-only contracts half price through topcashback.
Note those unlock codes I was mentioning, do not invalidate the warranty on the phone!
