hello, got this phone for free @ Globe Telecom-PH under their plan php499, I can say that it is a decent phone great performance and the screen is also great even though its only qHD got this instead of the galaxy s duos 2 because of LTE connectivity.. For the SoC this has Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8930 1.2GHz Krait and Adreno 305 GPU.. which is great...:) camera is also good under good lighting and not bad under low lighting... overall its snappy and no lags at all...:)

Is it true that the SoC of Huawei Ascend G526 is a MSM8930/Snapdragon 400 with Adreno 305 GPU? I have read it on a vodafone user group idk if it's really true

I bought this last month & have been using it since then. My previous phone was the Samsung Galaxy II- so no slouch.
The G526 feels smoother & more responsive than the SG2. I bought it in AU as Vodafone - but it was able to be unlocked immediately by Voda for free! I am now running it on the Boost network & have amazing phone reception (even in "dead/black" spots) due to Boost using the Telstra network.
Even better if you catch it on sale- I got it for $99. Added a 16GB mSD for my music & apps- very happy so far. :)
