means gdr1 was cme direct frm ms to all phones.. but frm now i.e. gdr2 ms rolling out ther updates to OEMs 1st then these phone companies add ther special features n then they rolling out to users..
n dude every company working on ther gdr2 update.. n w1 has capability to get future updates like gdr2, gdr3 n wp8.1.. so dnt wory.
gdr2 is on the way with fm radio, data sense, faster internet explorer n internal bug fixing n i also read somewhere that huawei also making some apps to remove other storage n lot more for ther consumer..
yes it true than no 1 get apps n facilities experience like nokia coz nokia is only adopting wp8 os.. so they providing lot to ther consumers to stay alive in market..
no any private company leaks or anounces ther future plans or about updates..
so chill n wait for updates. dnt thnk huawei dnt hav abilities..

Windows phone should not be considered as smart phone if it requires computer for costumizing the phone.
It should be smart phone+computer.

Guyz, dont expect that our ascend w1 will receive an update, its better to retain the existing os firmware, the gdr2 update became worst to windows phones, some got bricked and others got a battery drain problem.
And also, huawei has no capabilities to develop the windows phone 8 os, so bugs that might occur to w1, if ever w1 will receive the gdr2, will not be fixed, since MS is the only developer, and have no plans to improve the update.

I mean it would be stuped from huawei that they dont support very popular phone, if they wont to have loyal costumer they have to change that.

Hard to say what kind of support the W1 will get in the future, probably the big updates will be available, but I dont think Huawei will tweak with it like Nokia does (for obvious reasons).

Hello, i have just bought a phone and would like to now will w1 fallow updates for wp8 or we are left alone.
