yes crood whats app , viber & wechat work on it but the worse thing 0n that ph0ne is internal mem0ry & it's n0t 4gb it's 1.5 gb and u can't install applications in sd card .
u have 1.5 gb for applications if it's enough for u this ph0ne is n0t bad .

It's a good phone. For the price, it is the best with Windows Phone until now. Materials' quality is excellent. Performance is excellent, too. For everyone who wants a cheap Windows Phone device, this is the best cost - effectivesolution!

Software:
music+videos xbox app sucks and i can't find any alternative. I know that the Nokia Windows Phone models have one.
Hardware:
It only comes with 4gigs of internal memory. More would be highly appreciated as only moves, pictures and music can be saved to SD

Am not a windows phone fan but if you were to advise a friend who is trying to decide between the Huawei Ascend W1 and the Nokia lumia 520,both of which have exactly the same price($188), which one would you recommend?
I don't know much about windows phone.

Go to settings-> phone storage and set sd card options. Then all synced data will go to sd card. Music hub, video hub and pic hub is where you get access, whether phone memory or data. Alternately you can connect to pc and check/move data

HUAWEI ASCEND W1 have a very big problem, we can not instal games on sd card, we can not move the files or have any access to micro sd card files on the phone.
I don't now if its a W1 problem or a general Windows Phone problem. "sorry about the english"
