This is the best phone I have ever owned in fact my hubby has the same one but in black mines is purple we have had them over a year now and look and work as they did when we got them, camera is fab I use a photo editor with mine and have had some fab results ,battery life is excellent also I was thinking of upgrading but then thought no why when I love my phone so much ,would recommend this phone for anyone looking for a smart everyday phone that does everything you need to do on it on an everyday use.

It's not the worst smartphone I owed, but it gets very slow with time. And I only had it 4 months. The camera (5MP) is better then sony experia M camera (also 5MP)which I tested. Also, the good thing about this phone is that you can set up an alarm for the morning and it will work when your phone is completly off, not many phones are able to do that. Battery is poor. If you go on FB and do some browsing the battery runs down fast. Also, the storage capacity is very small, you cant go crazy with applications, and if you install a few, the phone will be struggling. Luckily it has a sd card slot to keep your photos and music on it. Overall it is a good simple smartphone for begginers or older users, who don't play games and use much internet.

A real bargain,in some respects there's even a hint of iPhone in use, but you get that plus a removable battery, SD card slot, at a quarter of the price. Had mine for nearly 18 months with heavy use, knocked about a bit, but as reliable as ever. Best phone yet for signal strength and clarity of calls - something that's easily over looked. I've had considerably more expensive, big name phones and the Huawei y300 might not look as flash but it does what its meant to do just as well, better in some respects. If you want a good, solid, inexpensive phone with more features than you would expect for the price you really should consider the Y300.

i have upgrade my y300 after that network data is not working and also notification panel not working i am unable to see display shot-cut buttons in the notification panel.
Please can anyone help me solve the problem

How in the world do you set the Message Service Center Number on the Ascend y300? I cannot send out SMS messages, always with the error code 28. Surfing the net, this seems to be due to not having a correct Message Service Center Number for my telephone provider. I found out what this number is, but cannot find any way to set it in the Ascend Y300. I follow the instructions found on the net for Android phones, but this menu item is missing (Messaging->Settings-> etc). Except for this irritation, I am quite happy for this phone, so I would be so happy if someone could help me out with this :)

At first it is good. But after installing few apps it crashes. And the battery life is crazy. When using the internet it lasts fir only an hour. Lame!

I wanted a simple and cheap phone so I got this one. It wasnt bad to begin with, but after a while ( a few months) it became very slow. Lots of lags. Even when I type txt I wait for a keyboard to show. Internet slow. Lack in reception, only one bar sometimes, while another phone shows full bars with the same provider. Internet slow, I wait for every page to open and scroll. The internal memory is very small, I can only install a few applications and thats it. Camera is OK, takes fine pictures (5MP). Battery OK if you dont use it much. As soon as you use internet and a game the battery runs down like crazy.
I only recommend this phone for someone older, or a kid, people without big tech needs. Simple smartphone for calls. Definitely not for game players or internet maniacs. Send a txt, MMS, take a photo - yes. Anything else its just frustrating.
