I bought phone 4rm jetmart 01 may 2014 and sold it follown day.
Is gr8 phone except for battery.
Battery is nt compitable to phone. It last 8hours if u nt doing anything.
If u download stream play music. It last 1h30.
If wifi / bluetooth on it last u 1h00.
If keep touchn screen but not doing anything. It last u 3h40.
I advise u 2 not buy huawei phone... Its home phone (nid 2 b on charger 24/7)
lot ppl say dat on internet of this phone...read reviews.

well for the price this is good value for money. A dual core chip running jelly bean, for £69. no brainer. the only niggle is the camera, but i bought the phone as a cheap spare.

I got this phone in Oct 2013. the phone is great for the price but as time as gone on, i've noticed that the battery drains fast. I usually have to charge 2 times a day and if i watch video then i have to have it plugged at times. one other issue i've seen is that on calls the other person suddenly cant hear you and you have to put it on loudspeaker and take it off to allow them to hear you again. sometime you could do this several times a minute. you can keep it on loudspeaker only either. i dont know whether the later software update will cure this but i cant find out what the latest software update will give me. anybody have any of these experiences?

How do I disable background data usage? I want to disable it but still be able send and receive notifications.

It's a good phone. But better if you flashed CyanogenMod 10.1 on it!

Hi, I em Hyawei Y300 user. Till now 10 days of using i`ts OK, no overpowering but normal use of phone, great sound through speakers "blessed". I`m interested in updating the software, mine is 182 from swisscom unlocked and using with non swisscom card.It`s possibly to update too a newer software like 189 or 199 for German users, and please explain me someone the procedure how its done. Thank You.

Pirate, 19 Apr 2014the phone is very good on its class but wifi takes ages to ... moreMaybe you've got a wrong piece, mine connects to WiFi really fast, in an blink of eye. Only if the signal is too low or the WiFi is overloaded (eg. at shopping centre, cafe etc.), the phone takes long to connect.

Iam a poweruser. I use phones solidly and frequently. I found this phone to begin with, okay. For the money you get good screen size, colour depth, build quality and 4.2 Jellybean. After a while, the screen faded. The phone started crashing such as the menu buttons and simple embedded system apps. It would always crash and restart several times. Keyboards like SwiftKey just seemed incompatible altogether. Always crashing. Browser was slow as hell. Everything after about a week just slowed right down even after several clean formats/factory resets. Avoid this phone if you want quality. Only get if you are after a cheap knock-off Chinese imported phone built in masses for supply and demand. No thorough quality whatsoever. Cheap as they come. Had better phones with less specifications that lasted longer.

The re... moreViber will cause probs for the Y300 the other person will not hear you on all calls incl normal and viber it will just drop suddenly. It took a while with many complaints thinking was phone it's not as soon as I deleted viber phone works perfect tried to install it again recently but did the same.I am on the 186, but my mother on the 192 which is the new update it seems to be working ok for her at moment but there again she's never on much. (I so need the update think I'll send away to get done as its a brilliant phone) Unless it is my phone provider I am on virgin. Anyway no probs since got rid! There are loads of other apps that do same and do video call google the top 10 free call apps. Hope you get it sorted :-)
