Guys, please help me... I can't use Data on my Huawei y300, someone please give me the correct settings on how I can use Apps like WhatsApp without me using my airtime... I'm using a MTN sim & I'm desperate to know how to set my Data settings instead of my airtime being used.. Help please!

Looking for a FREE battery level indicator app that isn't resource hungry. Preferably shows %'s as well, or only %'S is also OK.
Have tried one or two in the past which seemed to take over to some extent - I don't pick up which ones in my AppBrain account on phone as probably so long ago, the list doesn't go down far enough.
Any suggestions ? - and if it can be moved to SD Card will be even better.

@greg and @greggles : re Broadcast Messages, there was a detailed post a page back dealing with the process.
Essentially follow these steps & you should come right:
To start with: Find & click-on the Cell Broadcast app (should be on the phone already), then Settings (click the 3 horiz. stripes bottom right of phone) & within Channel configuration (final heading), untick whatever is broadcasting (in that case it was "MTN ZONE 50").
Post carried on:
de-selected everything else within that app as well, especially Vocal alert messages (unticked)& Alert reminder (Off).
Then also consider (like poster did) : Settings - Manage Apps - scroll across to 'All' - then down to 'Cell broadcasts' - disabled that app.

1. taking out the battery, then putting it back after a few minutes & seeing if it reboots properly after that ;
2. pressing down on the power button again, then if the popup screen again appears, pressing "Power off", leave for a few minutes, then again on power button + hopefully it boots up properly again ?

They probably changed the password, encryption or sth.
You should try to delete the network profile and then add it again and enter the correct password.
If they don't use password, ask the school's staff or your classmates, if there is any problem with the WiFi authentication.

Fab phone but i am receiving irritating Broadcast messages every now and then relating to percentages of usage ,what does this mean and please how do i eliminate thse broadcasts.

How do I install apps? seriously, I've been following the right procedure of installing but the phone just keeps on showing "Installing". I even let my phone install overnight and when I woke up in the morning, It still shows "Installing". Can someone help me? It's getting really frustrating now....
