Huawei Ascend Y300

I bought the y300 last week. It keeps shutting down apps when you're in the middle of using them and the keyboard keeps disappearing while you're typing. Today i can't get any signal, i know it's a problem with the phone because i can use the sim in another handset and it's fine.
Is anyone else experiencing these problems or did i just get a dud handset?

I buy this phone 5 month ago . i like it. it problem just is its speaker . its volume is low. and its resolution is low.

this phone is definately a solid gadget.I am using this and to be honest for people who cant buy the high end phones.i would say this one is a perfect gadget show off.in this price range no phone can beat this.HUAWEI is not known much but it is best in its hardware just as nokia.it is definately worth buyin this phone.It has a autofocus camera that really amazed me on its focussing ability.If you know to use autofocus u will definately love the camera ...when it comes to focus its better and deeper than any phone available on the market now.the photo is however not that good in low light conditions but this does a good job with its flash.the loudspeaker is another this i am loving the volume may be low according to some but i say huawei kept the exct volume limit as it should be ...like previous nokia symbian phones had and the quality of the sound delivered from this handset is just awesome and pleasing to ears and the bass can also be heard from it .The loudspeaker is really cool..the only minus about this phone is the back pannel is so thin and it could break or loose its grip easily when handled roughly and im afraid if there are shops havin these spares.the screen pixel density is also cool better than the average.The phone has another problem in playing some games it does not show the graphics correctly but only for some games .This phone can be rooted just use the app calles Root master..one click method....and over all this phone can only be felt of its capability when held in hand also it looks like shit in the photos on websites and internet but go and view it on hand ull love it.

huawei y 300 - BRILLIANT phone -
ONLY PROBLEM is the code *#*#4636#*#* does not work.
so it is IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!! to set the phone to
-- 3g WCDMA ONLY--
where i live i have 4 bars signal strength on 2g
and 2 bar signal strength on 3g - and the huawei will not stay on 3g it keeps switching between 2G and 3g
If your in a low signal strength area you cannot lock the phone to 3G. the phone will stay on 3G WCDMA PREFERRED and so us USELESS for internet or for tethering because the phone will keep switching from 3G to 2G to E
other than that problem which is a HUGE MEGA MASSIVE PROBLEM AS IT MEAND INTERNET IS ONLY 2G

HUAWEI Y300 is the best phone i have ever owned. battery life of 30+ hours if not playing any games.- - of i play "TEMPLE RUN 2" for 4 hours the battery goes from full to empty. playing games drains the battery. but if wifi is off and not playing games and used as a phone then battery life is 30+ hours.
I would NOT buy this huawei y300 again - for 1 reason only - and that is that it cannot be set to --3G WCDMA ONLY-- - even the code *#*#4636#*#* will not work - i have spent hundred+ hours searching all over internet and cannot find any way to type a code to make the phone lock to 3G WCDMA ONLY - therefore the phone is BRILLIANT but also USELESS if your in a low 3g signal becasue you cannot use the phone to email or use internet or tethering becasue the phone will keep wsitching to 2G - -
NOTE IF YOU INTEND TO BUY ANY ANDROID PHONE ALWAYS MAKE SURE IT CAN USE THE CODE *#*#4636#*#* THAT LETS YOU LOCK THE PHONE TO 3G WCDMA ONLY - IF PHONE CANNOT DO THIS THEN DO NOT BUY PHONE because phone will switch to 2g in low signal area and internet does is to slow to be usable on a 2G signal. ONLY EVER BUY A PHONE THAT CAN BE LOCKED TO 3G or 4G ONLY

I have this Phone 6 month now & i don't have problems at all DON'T compare this phone (for the money u give )with other more expensive mobil is not right.Ok the 512 ram is too small & but Huawei have & more expensive phone if u have the money to bye.U must to now what u want from to phone before u give your money that's the point.Huawei IS NOT SMALL COMPANY & in the future we see more goood devise....
