hi friends I have been using G8 from 2 weeks
1. no heat issue
2. no software issue
3. sound is good, volume is loud and plays HD videos with ease
4. battery timing depends on the usage overall its battery lasts for 2 days on normal usage
5. have played almost all formats but have no Idea RMVB can be played or not, there was an issue in playing mkv format so I downloaded MX Player, than it was giving an error of AC3 audio file not supported, but I figured it out and download the codecs, now every thing is fine.
6. it lags sometimes, don't know why and it responds after 1 second on pressing volume low or high buttons when using Hands free, but the quality of sound is amazing.
7. Camera result is superb, sharp colors and quality is excellent, even low light images are good and front camera result is also decent you can say very good.
8. I think only sim 1 supports 4G, u can put 2 sims or 1 sim and a Micro SD card for more memory, but 32GB is more than enough i think.
I think its a very good mobile in this price, definitely recommended.

I have the G8 from November, never experienced any problems until today. I took it outside to take some pictures and walked with it in cold, and after going inside I noticed software problems like...the app camera doesn't work or any media apps from Huawei, it even says I don't have flash but it does work with other apps...Maybe it's because I went from a low temperature to a higher one? ..Did anyone have problems like this?

1. still having notification problem？ Issue solved?
2. having heating issue when using data, wifi, watch video, playing games?
3. sound and picture are tally or not when watching video?
4. battery drive fast?
5. can support OTG?
6. what format of video or drama or movie able to support? can watch RMVB format or others? or need to install apps to watch the movies or dramas?
7. having hang issue when playing games, typing messages, online, watch drama or others?
8. how the camera ? eg: picture capture at night , picture capture when the car is moving , will look like not clear?
9. dual sim cards support 4G?
10. still having what kind of problems?

I had Samsung s3 for about 3years was hanging and too slow over heating weak battery cheap material.the vise reverse I found in my new g8 I use it for about two months now fantastic cam and very steady ID sensor. High value for reasonable price.

1 How to set MX player as default video player, no pop up appears when I tap on video it always plays in its default player :/

Arengium, 30 Dec 2015616. Take a look at Huawei's official site.Where to Huawei site? because on oficial site is presented as "Qualcomm® MSM8939™, 1.5GHz+1.2GHz 8-core processor" not "MSM8939v2"
