EMUI has its ups and downs but most are positive so about software I guess it's subjective, it's the most fluid skin that I have used. About durability, this phone past with flying colors the durability test by jackrig everything, and any glass phone is prone to scratch and break so put on a case and take care of your device!!

I have been using the mate 10 for 4 months now. The cellphone is amazing in terms of hardware, it is a powerful device back with a really strong battery that can last 1 day with no problem. the cellphone is elegant and amazing in the hands but in terms of durability don't expect much of the glass covering or the screen gorilla glass. it got a zillion scratch after 3 days of using without cover.
The worst part about this device is the software. It's software is dull and poor. the worst part of it is the music player, you can't even rewind a song without unlocking the screen in everytime. In addition, I have some doubts about security, for some reasons I am not feeling confident about Huawei practices.
Conclusion: It is a strong flagship with amazing features but not durable and has the worst software humanity has ever known. Frankly speaking, I wouldn't recommend to anyone because of software and security concerns.

Mate 10 over Nokia 7:
-Notification LED
-Infrared(Useful as remote)
-Higher screen resolution
-Faster chipset
-USB 3.1 over USB 2.0
-many other things
But there are also advantages like Nokia 7 plus being sturdier since it has metal body and better screen brightness.

Then upon checking, it was the Chrome cast. It didn't disconnect even though I already closed the youtube app. The phone notified me of the drain.
Overall, the phone is really good(many to mention good features). I get 1.5days even when I play a lot of games, open social apps and browse the web.

Just press and hold the Ultra Battery icon to go to Battery settings(though it's simply called Battery). In there, you can see the battery usage in two ways. The one above is a graph, the other one in the list below will give you the hardware/software usage. That might help you check what is causing the huge battery drain.
My mate 10 is new(Bought last Wednesday) so I can't really tell yet how is the battery in long-term. What I usually do to minimize battery usage when I sleep is to activate Power saving to minimize syncing of apps. Gmail usually syncs every now and then when not in power saving mode. You can also use the Power control widget to enable/disable auto syncing.
I'll be checking the phone's behavior in the next days to see if I discover something new.

And yeah, maybe something's really wrong with it. I left my phone at around 50% before I sleep. It died even before I woke up! Does a factory reset helps in improving it's battery? Thank you!

I just bought Mate 10 last 2 weeks ago. Does anybody know how to stop the reverse charging? Tried so many times & yet it still automatically reverse charging other devices. Please help. Thanks.

My dearest friends whom asked me my opinion.Mate 10 is the best high ends of 2017 . But using hybrid and not using radio + rds and not using at access Bluetooth 5.1 and its auxiliaries reduces its high quality criteria ! Nevertheless with reference to gsmArena review and its disclaimer , it is one the top of high ends....Hearing a good news , if true that Huawei has reduced 31% of all its product smartphones worldwide that hopefully gsmArena confirms or deny it....Hopefully in Mate 20 we see the necessary changes and no more deceptive hybrids....Justice Rights follows just moral guidelines and doesn't support unfair pskyrocketing price backbone breaking of unprivileged class....Thanks all....

Haven't need the worry to charge in a day. Only need to charge the phone when you're out of bed and getting ready to go to work. The face unlock on the latest update sure helps and it is snappy in unlocking my phone :)

I want to buy my first phone and i would like to know which you recommend between Huawei Mate 10 ... or ... Moto G6 Plus.
My need is basic and for long term. I imagine that i will use all the facility days after days...being more familiar with.

Thats a good phone. But the service center is terrible. I have been asking for my boot ladder code for days now and all I got was the most ridiculous answer. They told me to sign in Huawei site which I did and sign in and out for 14 days continously!!! And then they would send me a firm which by filling it I can hope that if they want they would send me the code!!
