moved from s7 to mate 10 lite. below are the findings after using for 2 complete days.
battery is slightly better than s7 especially stand by time. charging is damm allow. takes more than two hours for full charge.
speed is ok good as being a mid range mobile. Mali gpu is crap. games work fine but not as fine as they should be there is a very small lag in some games.
display is not good the reason i bought this was to enjoy a bigger screen. it's little reflective. i have used lcd panels before but this one seems they put the cheapest and i am amazed no body is highlighting this big issue. it gets very reflective. but thx to little research i found a solution if you put your screen to cool dis
play colour settings than its much much better.
UI is teen times better than Samsung. Knuckle gesture s are the best. camera is good in good light only at night it becomes crap even flash doesn't help.
the camera effects are plain awesome. i loved them and still enjoying them.
what i miss from s7:
-quick charge
-display
-camera.
i don't play much games so no issue with games not working fine.
the best thing about this phone:
the sound they headphone s. i mean wow.
hands down my best headphone experience.
i would highly recommend it but if you can look live with vanilla android than go for mi a1. it's camera and display both are better than this lite.
i know i just compared a flagship with mid range but i am really loving this device i don't think i am ever going back to Samsung. when i have extra cash i will buy Pro or mate 10 sure 100%

ex Lumia 1020 user here, changing daily driver to this phone.
The phone UX very pleasing, screen very good but quite reflective, audio is clear but not loud. As for performance, I haven't experienced lag. As for image quality, In broad daylight its good, but a bit overexposed. For lowlight, purely disappointment compared to L1020 (the details and noises just suck). Battery life enough for a day (with reasonable gaming time). It also has pedometer and led notification.

Hello i have samsung a5 2017 and i was extra excited with everything till it fell down two times and screen broke from everywhere . The second tjme thise changed the cam's capture and light enters in. Also after one week of buying it cam didnt have the same quality ..it is very elegant and user friendly but i am doing alll my work there and i wander if huawei mate lite 10 is better.

love u huawei. best ever mobile . far far better then samsung and other mobiles . outstanding cams. no hanging issue like samsung. battrey good. no heating issue. overall a very good mobile....+-+-+-+-

Pros
Truly mesmersing screen
Excellent battery life
Blue color is great
Speakers are very loud
Lots of customizations available
Fingerprint works faster than an Iphone (Tested)
Cons
No gorrila glass so have to be extra cautious
Cannot hide the on screen buttons unless rooted
Cameras...They are good but not extraordinary
