I got my Mate 10 Pro just two days ago. Right out of the box the first thing I noticed was its fast charging, from 48% to 100% in about half an hour, which makes it about five times faster to charge than the LG G4 it has replaced. It looks and feels premium, and I hadn't any noticeable problems in setting it up.
Browsing is noticeably quicker than the G4 and the Mate 10 held up well even in the local signal blackspots where I live. Music playback is also tremendous and the supplied headphones are of really good quality. They won't be staying in the box.
The home buttons are unobtrusive on the 6" screen and the slider function, which was a prime feature of my G4, are easy to use.
I am still working around the camera but the first photos I took are vivid and detailed, at 12mp. I have noticed that the zoom function isn't available at 20mp but I can always enlarge any of those panoramic landscape pictures I like taking, and I haven't yet completely mastered the camera modes, so I am expecting continued great results.
It isn't breaking the bank either, thanks to the deal I got from my phone provider I am paying just under £300 for my Mate 10, on top of a generous data package, which is also quite impressive.
My G4 had a lot going for it, in terms of display, sound quality and camera but the Mate 10 is in another ballpark. The fast charging, build quality and camera experience are superb. Buying it feels like one of the better decisions I've made recently, beyond question.

Please move the notification ringtone from the ear speaker to the speaker below. Imagine when we are listening to WhatsApp messages, suddenly a notification ringtone comes in, it will blast our eardrum hard even when the ringtone is set at the lowest volume!

I have a Mate 7 and my wife a Mate 8, now we want to upgrade to a model with high specifications but we are surprised that with the high prices of Mate 10 Pro and P20 Pro without FM Radio and without 3.5 mm connector ??? We hope that the Mate 20 Pro will solve these defects.

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2018Oneplus 6 or mate 10 pro is better? Had Mate 10 Pro, went on op hype train with 6 and returned to Mate. Appreciate superior battery life and cameras over performance in games I don't play. Screens are basically the same,op has maybe punchy colors but BOE display on mate is bit sharper. Mate is a stereo too which comes in handy...op6 has a headphone jack. Charging speeds are similar.

They are however good at updates for PUBG. They even call it an important update.

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2018Mate 10 pro does not have BT 5.0!Yeah it's only 4.2 but it doesn't matter because I haven't seen any accessories with B. T. 5.0 which we can pair with those device having 5.0. Maybe transferring of files from one device to another but we have USB C which is more faster.

The hybrid zoom is better than the one you are about to use after the 20mp photo is taken. So most of the time 12MP is best.

is there an app that lets you choose the quality as 20 mp and let you zoom?? If you want to zoom using the default camera app, you have to downgrade to 12 mp

I love my mate 10 pro. Just got one through amazon and love the excellent battery life. Even when checking what messages I have and some light activities, the battery still stays around the upper 90s. It's nice to know it's water resistant even though I've never let my phone near any water. Have to get used to a phone not having a removable sd card slot. Loving the BT 5.0 range too
