Hello,
Can some advise:
I placed an order for a Chinese mate 8 and the seller told me he will install a global room. He said it's original Huawei ROM, and the phone will still receive OTA updates, but the model of the phone will change.
Is that true?
Can it be trusted not to have malwares!?

I have deducted top, bottom & side bezels and this is the exact screen only size for Mate 10 & pro:
Mate 10 pro screen size: 136.8 x 68.5 mm
Mate 10 screen size: 130.3 x 73.4 mm
Mate 10 pro got 6.5mm taller screen and Mate 10 got 4.9mm wider screen.

S8, S8+ and Iphone X all have the Samsung 18.5:9 ratio rather than the more rational and symmetric (2 equal halves) 18:9 ratio like LG and Mate 10 pro. Just overlay the S8 and S8+ over the Mate 10 pro. The S8 loses massive amount of screen compared to Mate 10 despite S8 being a 5.8" screen phone while the S8+ is 5mm taller and 1mm less wide than Mate 10 which means the 2" extra screen on the S8+ compared to Mate 10 is completely gone into a 5mm vertical increase of the screen (which is pointless in practical usage).

He didn't install the software update released by Huawei which optimized the Google Play Services that consumed more than 50% of the battery.Now it is fine with 1.5 day battery life on heavy usage.

to me 4.2 is fine since all I need is to pair it to my car audio when I m driving...
I seldom use headphone jack too + I owned a cheap pirated version of wireless headphone which it works fine on my tablet / note 4.
Huawei must now cont. to spend more time on software optimization so that ur 4000mah battery can last longer.
