What you never charge phone in the office and listen music all working day ... that's 8 hours of music, gotta charge it... you use your brain....

I've got an Honor 8. It's a great phone and this one improves on all the specs and has newer Android/EMUI. But Huawei only gets out a handful of updates a year. If you only send text messages like my grandmother, that's fine. If you do online banking, buy stuff, and have a bunch of passwords and accounts to services you don't want stolen then being months behind with sometimes dozens of known security vulnerabilities then I can't recommend their products.
Great hardware, software that's fast and responsive, but terrible security.

Had the Mate 9, while it was a great device and i'm still using it while waiting for my Pixel 2XL. The updates were too few on the Mate 9. I received only two security updates since January and maybe only one other update that improved stability. Oh it was the bad Alexa update one time. That was a flop. Not knocking the Mate 9 and i'm sure the Mate 10 and Pro will be fine but the PPI is very low. Pixel 2XL ppi cannot be beat and the continuous updates. Huawei will never make it big in the U.S. One of the big attractions to the Mate 9 was the price. Now the Mate 10 and Pro are up there with other flagships. If they want to make waves in the U.S. they'll need to keep the price undercutting the Samsungs, Google, LG, and Apple. Also having a low ppi at $800 plus pricing is not going to cut it.

- Creating 4k content over a 1080p phone display ? Thats a fail already.
And if 128gb internal is not enough, neither would 256gb external storage be of much use either. But yea that 0.0000000001% of 4k content creators can buy the Mate 10 regular version.
- Watching video and music while fast charging ? That's another fail. And there is usb-c headphone included, so you don't need an adapter. Or get a wireless earphone.
- Mate 9 had 16nm Kirin 960 processor. Kirin 970 is 10nm and has more efficient G72 GPU. Combined with FHD+ OLED display will definitely be better.
- Handson reviewers said the same. Mate 10 pro is better to handle. With all phones switching to 18:9 even the Google Pixel 2 XL , youtube will follow soon enough.

- To early for camera and benchmarks. And even than in overall the benchmarks is only below Iphone going by numbers. So thats a fail again. Although the entire discussion is not a comparison to other phones.

(not enough for 4k content creator. thats why ppl need flexibility with sd slot)
- USB-C jack headphones are included
(cant charge while listening to music or watching video. Need to carry additional adapter. thats why ppl bash Apple for it. now looks who following like little doggo)
- It has overall better and more battery efficient display.
(battery review yet to come out. Mate 9 have 4k mAh also but bad battery endurance compare to other flagship phone. big doesnt mean better. ppl need to start to learn this)
- 18:9 is better to handle
(since when?will have scaling issue especially watching youtube)
- It has a larger 6.0inch screen to the 5.9 on Mate 10.
(why is this a "pro" consideration?)
