I don't get it, Mate 9 Pro was the premium model because it had QHD vs FHD in base model. Now the base model has QHD, but the Pro model does not? Why would anyone pay the premium?

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2017too expensive and will not have IP class like samsung.Neither will the iphones. Unless you're constantly surrounded by liquid, an IP rating isn't very important

Why does this "pro" version even exist..? worse than the normal version in every respect. The screen is smaller, lower res, has bigger bezels, an aspect ratio that shrinks videos more, is less bright and more burn-in prone. Never was the absurdity of 18:9 screens clearer if they can get people to buy this by touting that as a feature when everything about this version is in fact worse!

The initial reviews indicated that it would come with 6gb ram and a 2k screen.

If you remove the head phone jack, you should at least put the latest version of Bluetooth. What is the trade off?

This handset seriously has me excited - I have been a Samsung Note fanboy since the Note 2, now they are cool but so expensive.
I saw a comment on no IP rating for the Mate 10 Pro - apparently it will be IP67.

If you can pay usd 1100 for an outdated iPhone X, you can pay 1000 bucks even for an Honor 8, seriously guys... I am using Mate 9, and I know there's nothing quite like it around... Maybe Samsung Note 8, but its build quality doesn't match Huawei's at all...

Very good phone, but I don't understand why there isn't rounded corners display. Rounded corners display protects display from crashes.
