First was thinking that camera is ok but when compare with my wife Moto Z Play and with my nephew Moto G6, I realized that is not good at all. Idk what is the reason, but on their phonesnpictures looks much sharp and clear. For example when i shot my daughter face with both phones, mine and Z Play, when zoomed in eyes on Z Play is much detailed. Starting to regret that make decision to buy Huawei midrange.Better try other brand imho.

Zhao, 21 Dec 2018Back camera is poor quality. No details. No sharpness. Hdr ... moreCamera sensor is weak. Omni vision 20880. 1micron with 20mpx... Too many pixels for such a small sensor. Nowadays most of the phones used bigger sensors. 1.40-1.50 microns who captures whey more data and details. You can see that even flagship devices uses 12-16mpx sensors but with bigger sizes. Here Huawei put they're old trick to put numbers but not qualify. Thats why they will lose customers. Companies like Xiaomi and Vivo make more for same money. Matter of time.

Sound is very low on maximum. I might go to my carrier and ask for the other one, but I am really perplexed why is the headphone volume that low.

Mono speaker is a joke,but even mi8 has only one. Awfuly absurd downgrade from old xperia z5. Camera is midrange,better than 3yrs old sony,but not that far. Overall very good midrange phone. But never mono speaker again.

Has anyone experienced very low headphone volume. I can only say that I'm using good headph9nes which are expensive and work on other phones excellent. I did comparison with ky old HTC Desire 630 and the headphone sound on 630 is way better incomparable. Also I tried every settings that I could try. Any help, experiences or is it a factory problem?

Back camera is poor quality. No details. No sharpness. Hdr not working correctly. 20mp but only on paper. Images are soft. I compared it with Moto G5s, G6 and Mi A2. All of them have less mp's but make much more crisp and detailed photos. Hope from Huawei fix that problem. Dim screen on apps is another problem of this device.

This Huawei Mate, its not water proof. Has no ANT+ And no barometer. If you do sports you will understand how important are the above thinks.

I have Samsung A5(2017),and I am very satisfied. it's time to change the phone. I'm interested in your opinion. whether to continue with one of the A series, or to take Mate 20 lite (I look at it at that price range).

Phone suddenly started ringing although none were calling and we couldn't turn the ringing off. Player displayed that nothing is playing and media sound is set to half way. This ringing was as loud as phone calls are set to.
Had to restart phone to resolve. ( 3 days after buying)
Any thoughts?

I think it's a good phone but the FM radio has a defect. The hands-free button used to switch stations does not work in the background after the phone is turned off or after using YouTube. It is fixed when a call comes in. Does the same thing happen to you?
