I always wanted it but ... moreGreat phone except camera.
Besides heavy weight is painful for day to day use.
Back camera and specially Selfie camera is far inferior than an iphone.

Is this phone even worth it today?
I always wanted it but never came to my country. Always from individual sellers and super expensive.
Now it is almost affordable but it is from 2018.
Isn't it better to buy a 7 or 8" tablet?

gab, 26 May 2022no google unfortunately, problems with HuaweyNot sure what you mean, but the Mate 20 X definitely has all the Google services... (it was released before the Huawei ban/problems)

Anonymous, 27 May 2022Err.. Emui 12 is the update though? Or you mean something else. I think he meant an update model. Which has close to zero chance of ever happening. All the rage is about foldables (yuck) and anyway Huawei is out of the picture - no Google, no international sales, or insignificant.

I am using it for about 3 plus years. Very good phone. Good camera, screen, battery life, sound, screen size and so on. If there is any update on this model, I will go for it. Thanks Huwavi.

It has 7.1" screen, SD865 and 12gb ram so enough for long time. Also its on Android 11 and will get Android 12 soon. I thought about Mate 20X but EMUI 12 is still on Android 10 and Kirin 980 not powerful enough the run games or emulation nowadays. I have also Legion 2 Pro for e-sports.

I purchased mine around May 2019. To date it has used 90% of memory, still no lag and operates fast. Have dropped the phone very hard countless times over the years and no issues. Battery performance is still very good usually serves me for two days. Very robust in quality and I'm not sure if I will get a replacement as good as this.

Sure it has all the specs that can easily overshadow a 2018 Upper/Permium range phone, but i must say i have not put my mate 20x to rest just yet. Still a workhorse even after 3+ years of daily usage, heavy gaming with G2 Betop controllers. No phone can match its massive screen to date. Update to Emui 12 feels great. Recently changed new battery and screen replacement, and the beast feels like day 1.
Sure when it comes to intensive games like Pubg, COD etc where higher fps is an advantage, i will use the rog phone, but i will always return back to my trusty mate 20x for streaming, movies, note jotting and many more. The 8gb ram with 256gb rom in it keeps it future proof for me to use a few more years as long as the security patches are available...

I can't change my phone as it has no trouble.
Camera is not great , just usable..
This issue is forcing me for an iphone...

now 3+ years. no problems. battery life in ultra power sharing mode: 151 h 50 min, with battery 88% ; power saving mode 50 h 13 min, performance mode 39 h 33 min
