I read the sofware upgrade road map, phones as back as 2016 such as huawei mate 9 will get this major update too. Google services will not be affected as said by some who have been trying the beta version on youtube. Seems to be on par with android

I'm looking for a new phone for my wife, to replace her old one, but there's nothing these days that comes close to this phone when it comes to size coupled with good specs. It's all narrow and tall these days. It's a pity software support for this phone is ending, with no more OS upgrades, only security updates for a little while longer. Or else I would have bought this phone for her as well.

              If I could root It, i would buy it and change my rooted Mi Mix Ultimate. I don't like It's 1cm taller for the same width, but I would have better cameras and a bit faster.

No chinese bloatware, everything has been configurated to global rom. I get constant google updates from playstore etc just like the global rom. Had the 6gb ram version since 2018 dec and the chinese version converted to global rom since sep 20. I bought myself note 20 ultra, sold that and got the 8gb ram version from that seller. Didnt regret selling the note 20 ultra, yes it has the latest specs more powerful 2020 chip, but theres just something about this phone that makes it feel complete even without under display fingerprint sensor, wireless charging, higher resolution screen display, not to mention higher fps. I tried all that on note 20 ultra, but i enjoyed more on this phone. Call me crazy but i got 2 of these, your normal global 6gb ram and the maxed out version 8gb ram global converted. Not intending to switch. Was really hoping another X version comes out again. Not a problem side loading google services =)

I didn't know that flashing L29 Rom on Chinese version turns the phone into a 100% "Genuine L29" phone. I thought there would always be some "traces" left of the Chinese version in the system, and maybe risk of Google Services no longer working after some time. Thanks for clarifying.

Like you said, they can flashed the global rom at my request with additional charges. Damn do i love this version!! Im selling away my global variant cos this 8gb variant is a beast! Dope! What they have is the superior version because at the end of the day if you dont convert to global rom, you get harmony os 2 beta version first while the rest of us have to wait and queue. Dont worry guys, the link is there. My phone js working just fine. Go ahead if you wanna try the chinese version converted to global rom, you wont be dissapointed. Far better then my 6gb ram 128gb rom version. Like i said i have 2 if these phones. The difference is definitely not night and day, but you do feel extra juice compared to the GLOBAL version

I am merely helping those who wish to get the 8gb ram 256gb rom with global rom in their hands..it is has more ram for future proofing and memory compared to your GLOBAL VERSION just because you dont want to use the CHINESE version. Then by all means stick to your 6gb 128gb version then while all of us get to enjoy the maxed out version

Of course it is chinese version. 8gb ram 256gb rom. But they converted that version to global rom. I have 2 sets of these phones with google services , google pay available. I BOUGHT from the seller. I just dont understand which part of the seller flashing global rom dont you understand. The difference between global and chinese is only ram and rom. Other hardware is the same. So it dosent matter does it if its a chinese version with global software.
